Not looking like we’ll unlock the Sirin 9mm? Don’t worry, just throw more cash at Activision to unlock it instead.

Unfortunately, although the double XP was added yesterday, Black Ops 6 players are convinced they’re not actually getting the full benefit.

Black Ops 6 Players Are Sure Double XP Isn’t Working

Since its addition, multiple threads have popped up on Reddit with players suggesting they’re not getting double XP during the Call of Duty double XP weekend. These threads between them have got hundreds of upvotes and comments, with half of the community up in arms.

One thread, posted by user yerfii, contains two YouTube videos with them getting 59 kills, a score of 8,000, but only 5,000 XP in one game, and 94 kills, 12,000 points, and a Nuke, but only 11,000 XP in another.

In the aforementioned thread, user Golden_Sunkiss claimed that double XP is “really more like 1.3x XP if that.”

Codi11 added, “I think it’s bugged, just like last time where they had to fix it,” with CapnGnobby then saying, “Exactly this, it’s not some crazy conspiracy. It’s just that something’s a bit messed up. They’ll fix it and maybe give us an extra day.”

However, although many players are disappointed with the XP acquisition rate, others were quick to question what modes they’re playing. Face-off, for example, naturally grants less XP than other multiplayer modes; therefore, if players have started playing that, they will notice smaller gains.

While players may feel it’s an issue, Activision clearly disagrees. Unlike the Zombies and profile reset bug that happened last week, there’s nothing on the company’s Trello board to actually suggest anything is wrong with the double XP weekend.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
