The Steam Autumn Sale 2024 is now underway, with Valve bringing PC players another huge slate of savings. From old gems that are now just a couple of bucks, to fresher releases with some generous early discounts, there’s a lot to sift through. Luckily, we’ve done some of the legwork for you and picked out our ten favorite deals.
As is the case with any seasonal Steam sale, there are some frankly ridiculous offers here. There’s everything from triple-A RPGs to some of the best indie games of the year, so if there are any titles that you’ve been meaning to pick up or that friends have been urging you to get for ages, now’s a great time to see if it’s going cheap. Right here though, we want to highlight some epic deals on Steam games we absolutely love.
Hitman World of Assassination (90% off)
Three of the greatest stealth games ever made, bonus missions, and a replayable roguelike mode, all for three bucks? Count me in. Bundling together the base games of Hitman 1, 2, and 3, plus some bonus additional content like the incredible Freelancer mode, Hitman World of Assassination is the ultimate experience for anyone that wants to live the secret agent fantasy. With tons of replayability, missions set in every corner of the globe, and targets that can be taken out in a multitude of ways, this might just be the most impressive value-for-money deal in the Autumn Sale.
Silent Hill 2 (20% off)
Remaking an iconic, critically-acclaimed game is never easy, but with Bloober Team’s recently-released Silent Hill 2, it has absolutely nailed it. Striking a great balance between loyal recreation and new interpretation, this haunting and tense psychological horror game brings one of the all-time greats up to modern standards. This is the first price drop Silent Hill 2 has had since releasing in October, and it’s one to definitely take advantage of if you love atmospheric, heart-pounding experiences.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 (43% off)
Another huge and highly-anticipated game that was released just this year, a hefty 43% discount to Dragon’s Dogma 2 brings it down to a more manageable price point of just under $40. While the open-world RPG may have fallen short of being a true Elden Ring rival like many had hoped, it is still a massive, intricate, and enjoyable experience. With ten classes (or vocations) to choose from ranging from Archers to Sorcerers, unique Pawns that can fight alongside you, and a wide array of huge, beautifully-designed beasts to encounter, there is plenty to love about Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Manor Lords (30% off)
Even though it’s still in early access, Manor Lords has been one of this year’s biggest surprise hits. Priding itself on historical accuracy and challenging gameplay, this strategy game and city builder revolves around establishing and managing your own medieval settlement. From a small village with a handful of inhabitants to a sprawling city, keeping tabs on your resources and planning your expansions carefully is the key to success. Not only can you revel in plenty of content already, despite its early access status, but you can help its solo developer shape the future of Manor Lords with your feedback too. If you love city builders, strategy games, or management games, you won’t be disappointed.
Diablo 4 (40% off)
If you’re a regular here on PCGamesN, you’ll know that we’re mad about Diablo 4, and if you’re yet to get sucked in by its hellish ARPG combat and loot chasing, the Steam Autumn Sale gives you a great excuse to start. There is plenty in the base game to keep you occupied, but alongside Diablo 4 itself being 40% off, its new Vessel of Hatred expansion is also benefiting from the same discount right now.
Satisfactory (20% off)
After a successful spell in early access, addictive building game Satisfactory finally launched in 1.0 this September to a monumental influx of players. Giving you the freedom to build enormous automated factories, harvest resources from an alien planet, and use vehicles, jump pads, and jetpacks to navigate it, Satisfactory is a grin-inducing experience. While you can quite easily get lost in it as a solo player, online co-op lets groups of up to four players work together to create the ultimate factory.
Dark Souls trilogy (50% off)
Ok, so this is technically three separate games in one entry, but Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls II, and Dark Souls III are all brilliant and are all featured in the Steam Autumn Sale with 50% discounts. While FromSoftware games on PC can be a controversial and frustrating topic at times, here’s some good news for anyone that wants to play through the incredible Dark Souls trilogy. Grim and dark fantasy worlds, intimidating and challenging boss fights, incredible combat, and a legacy that makes most other RPG series jealous, they are all must-plays.
V Rising (30% off)
2024 has been a bumper year for new survival games, but one of the most unique is V Rising. With a large open-world map to explore, you play as a vampire that’s on the hunt for the red stuff in order to increase in power. If you head outside in the daytime, you need to stick to the shadows to avoid the sunlight, but at night, you can really work those fangs. Your quest to find blood and enslave people can take place in a solo offline world or a shared co-op world, where other vampires may also be looking for a fight. The greatest aspect about V Rising though is its base building – or rather, its spooky castle building. That’s right, you get to design, expand, and reside in your own castle. What’s not to love?
Baldur’s Gate 3 (20% off)
If we were to say that Baldur’s Gate 3 was one of the best PC games ever made, few would disagree with us. For a long time, discounts on the behemoth RPG were extremely rare and fleeting, and even though they are starting to become more common now, it’s wise to capitalize on one while you can. Offering unparalleled levels of freedom, every decision you make in BG3 feels like it has some kind of meaningful impact behind it. Its narrative and characters are exemplary, and the turn-based combat and deep class system is incredible – make sure that if you do pick it up with this 20% discount you keep our best BG3 builds guide close by.
Kingdom Come Deliverance (90% off)
With an impressive-looking sequel arriving in February next year, the opportunity to pick up Kingdom Come Deliverance for just three bucks isn’t to be sniffed at. The witty medieval RPG is an absolute riot and puts you in the shoes of Henry, the son of a blacksmith looking for revenge after his family is murdered in a raid on his village. The first-person combat does an amazing job at replicating the feel of different historical weapon types and melee duels feel really in-your-face and immersive. For this price, it’s an absolute steal.
