Merida’s lost something precious, with the power to change one’s fate. Unfortunately, Hades has his eye on it and he’s getting closer to finding it. Team up with Merida and her friends to find the treasure before Hades to ensure that the village and all of Storybook Vale is safe from his schemes.

Where To Find The Clues

To unlock this quest, you’ll need to get Merida to level seven friendship. Talk to her to learn about a mysterious treasure that can change one’s fate, and Hades is scheming to get his hands on it. You need to find the artifact before he does.

Merida knows it’s connected to Clan DunBroch and asks you to help search her cottage for clues. Make your way there and open the sparkling bag on the floor. Inside is a note about who Merida left the first clue with: a fierce warrior with a bo staff.

Talking to Mulan about being a warrior.

Search your village for Mulan and ask if she remembers anything about the artifact. As her memories come back to her, she’ll tell you where she hid the next clue by the statue of a flying horse.

In the Elysian Fields, head to the Mythic Trial site and snap a photo of the sparkling bag beside the pegasus statue on the hill. Show it to Merida, then follow her back to the site. The bag is quite high up, so she’ll loose an arrow to knock it down. Then, retrieve the next clue.

Where The Wolf Drinks Spilled Tea

The next clue points to where the Wolf drinks spilled tea. Consult with Merida about what it means, then head off into the Wild Woods. Follow along the river until you spot a glowing pink memory on the shores.

While the water comes from the Teapot Falls, you don’t have to unlock that region to complete this quest.

Pick it up, then talk to Merida about what the next clue says.

Finding One’s Place In The World

The last clue talks about finding one’s place in the world under the watchful gaze of a mother, and Merida points to the Lorekeeper’s library. Make your way there, then search the wings for a globe.

Interact with it in the wings to find the final note, which shows you the location of Merida’s family treasure! Hurry to get it before Hades.

Had into the Bind, towards the falls near the Everafter. Interact with the bookshelf here to reveal a hidden alcove. However, the treasure isn’t here. It seems Hades has gotten to it first.

Confront the Lord of the Underworld about the artifact. He’s surprisingly forthcoming about his scheme. Hades admits to stealing the artifact from Merida, but swears he’s not up to anything with it anymore.

He’s just been using it as a dinner plate, as it has no real magic properties–just sentimental ones. Hades tells you to claim it from his home if you want it so badly. Head there with Merida and retrieve the Clan DunBroch family treasure, then return it to Merida to conclude the quest.

You’ll get to keep the treasure as a decoration for your village!
