Not every Pokemon in the Pokemon TCG can emulate the popularity or value of Charizard, and that’s okay, as otherwise, it would be too difficult to afford any of your favorite cards. While Dragalge’s relatively recent release into the wilds of the Pokemon TCG leaves hope that its best is yet to come, there isn’t much to get too excited about just yet.

Pokemon TCG: The 7 Most Valuable Cards From The EX Era
The EX era is packed with valuable Gold Stars.
Unlike the most valuable Alakazam cards, Dragalge’s best offerings won’t exceed the double digits in value, with some options failing to crack the one-dollar mark. Although not every card is a goldmine investment in the making, these affordable Dragalge cards are perfect collector’s items for fans of the Pokemon, and it’s unlikely these options will become too expensive soon.
Cards are ordered according to their
TCGPlayer
Market Price,
which you might pay on average for a copy of the cards below.
Given the age and rarity of these cards,
only
those with an
established market price on TCGplayer
are included.
However,
sale prices differ depending on the card’s condition,
so this market price is just a rough idea of the card’s value.
5 Dragalge: Forbidden Light (Reverse Holo) – $0.36
A Light In The Sea
Dragalge is an unusual Dragon-type Pokemon with several versions that depict this unusual Pokemon swimming in the depths of the ocean. Similarly, its card values are well below the surface of what you might expect from a Dragon-type Pokemon. While the Holo versions of this card are great, you can upgrade to a reverse Holo version for only a few cents.
Near-mint (NM) copies of the Holo version sell for about 25 cents, whereas the Reverse Holo version can reach as high as 40 cents.
While the overall values are fairly cheap, the percentage increases between versions are significant.
4 Dragalge: BREAKpoint (Reverse Holo) – $0.36
A Slow Build
The Dragalge from BREAKpoint sets the tone for what you can expect from this bottom-dwelling Poison and Dragon-type Pokemon, with a very tame value that falls below expectations.
This card’s action shot features one of the only instances where its Poison attacks are the focus of the scene.

Pokemon TCG: The 6 Most Valuable Squirtle Cards
Squirtle finally gets the love it deserves in modern sets.
The regular Holo version of this Dragalge can range from anywhere between 20 cents to 40 cents in NM condition. However, the reverse holo can command almost a dollar, but you might also find copies for half that amount. If you don’t care about the condition, then you can find this card for as cheap as 11 cents.
3 Dragalge: Cosmic Eclipse (Reverse Holo) – $0.44
Another One
Cosmic Eclipse mirrors the same story we’ve seen thus far with the first two Dragalge cards on this list, as it boasts another ocean-based art with a reverse holo version that one-ups the holo offering. However, Cosmic Eclipse is packed with valuable cards, which makes this set much more desirable to collect.
If you’re sticking with the Reverse Holo version, then NM copies can sell for as much as 99 cents, though you might be able to snag one for closer to 45 cents if you’re patient and wait for one that’s well-priced. However, this card is likely to maintain desirability for set builders, as Cosmic Eclipse is one of the best Sun and Moon-era sets to make.
2 Dragalge: Flashfire (Reverse Holo) – $0.73
Swimming In The Depths
Flashfire keeps the status quo rolling along as this Dragalge card turns down the lights even more as this Pokemon continues its dive deeper into the ocean depths. While similar scenes make it difficult to keep these cards distinct in your mind, together they form a cohesive scene that seems to illustrate the Pokemon’s journey through the ocean depths.
Despite the similarities, this Dragalge stands about 30 cents above the prior card. While this seems like a relatively slim margin – and it would be in most cases – the percentage increase marks a significant jump in value. NM copies can sell for as much as $1.49, while lightly played (LP) copies of this card will only cost about half that, clocking in at 74 cents.
A Total Eclipse
While this valuable XY promo shoots into a new stratosphere, some things never change, as all the most expensive Dragalge cards depict this Pokemon in nearly identical underwater scenes. The constant repetition leaves little to distinguish one card from another, but a special Staff Prerelease promo for XY’s Flashfire is exactly the distinction Dragalge needed to soar.
Unfortunately, there’s only a single sale at the market price on TCGplayer, but this card was in NM condition, indicating that the top end of this card’s range is somewhere around the current market price. However, if you want to purchase this card in LP condition or worse, you should expect a significant discount from the market price, given that only the cleanest copies should be selling that high.
