The much-awaited Dark Elixir event has returned in Supercell’s Clash Royale. As expected, there’s no locked card or pre-made deck; instead, you’re free to create your own event from scratch. Just like previous events, this one will also run for a whole week, from November 25 to December 2.
The Dark Elixir event puts players in a game mode where their troops’ speed becomes super fast, but the damage they take also increases. You’ll find two modes there: 1v1 and 2v2. This means you can either play solo or team up with a friend (or a random online player at the same level) for multiplayer battles. Plus, the event brings a challenge, which will stay active from November 29 to December 2. Check out this guide to find some of the Best Decks to use during the Dark Elixir Event and Challenge in Clash Royale.

Best Decks For Dark Elixir Event In Clash Royale
In the Dark Elixir event, a purple elixir falls randomly across the arena. As soon as you or your opponent’s troops step into the elixir circle, their speed ramps up. The battles within the circle get intense, with health dropping much quicker than usual. Once troops leave the circle, they return to their normal speed and damage rate.
While this event gives you a chance to take down enemies quickly, it’s also risky. Your towers can go down in seconds if you’re not careful. The elixir usually drops near the towers or along the empire’s boundary, making it both dangerous and exciting.
Here are the top decks for the Dark Elixir event and challenge in Clash Royale to outplay your enemies.
Deck 1
Cards |
Cost |
Evo Valkyrie |
4 elixir |
Evo Goblin Hut |
5 elixir |
Goblins |
2 elixir |
Fireball |
4 elixir |
Night Witch |
4 elixir |
Giant |
5 elixir |
Musketeer |
4 elixir |
Barbarians |
5 elixir |
This deck works well against most types of troops if you use the right strategy. Start by placing Barbarians, Goblins, or Musketeers as your main fighters. When an enemy approaches your towers through the Dark Elixir circle, summon the Giant to block their path. This forces them to target the Giant, preventing them from fully benefiting from the elixir circle—and gives you time to recharge your elixir bar for the remaining cards. Meanwhile, use other attacking cards like Valkyrie or Night Witch, both of which can hold off enemies for a long time.
Goblin Hut is great for countering multiple enemies in the arena, like Skeletons or even Night Witch. Keep using the Fireball to blast the opponent’s towers, while cycling through other attack or defense cards to stay in control.
Deck 2
Cards |
Cost |
Evo Barbarians |
5 elixir |
Evo Zappies |
4 elixir |
Goblin Hut |
5 elixir |
Night Witch |
5 elixir |
Elixir Golem |
3 elixir |
Valkyrie |
4 elixir |
Goblins |
2 elixir |
Firecracker |
3 elixir |
In the Dark Elixir event, it’s best to wait and see where the elixir drops before playing your cards. Once you spot it, place your troops there. Also, after destroying a tower, start using cards inside the elixir circle on the enemy’s side. Use strong attackers like Barbarians or Valkyrie together with Zappies.
If you get the option for Goblin Hut, summon it near any of your towers to keep spawning Goblins for support. For enemy towers, the Elixir Golem is a great choice—it can deal damage and also act as a shield in the purple circle. Firecracker and Princess can be used as a defense card in the event arena.
Deck 3
Cards |
Cost |
Evo Dark Prince |
4 elixir |
Evo Prince |
5 elixir |
Electro Dragon |
5 elixir |
Elixir Golem |
3 elixir |
Golden Knight |
4 elixir |
Spear Goblins |
2 elixir |
Princess |
3 elixir |
Electro Wizard |
4 elixir |
The combo of Electro Dragon and Evo Dark Prince is perfect for hitting enemy towers, and adding Elixir Golem makes it even better! Spear Goblins and Princess are low-cost cards you can keep using as defenders, while Golden Knight, Evo Prince, and Electro Wizard lead the charge. When using Golden Knight, don’t forget to activate its sword ability—it’ll supercharge the attack and deal extra damage, giving you an edge in battle.
By winning matches in the Dark Elixir event, you’ll earn event tokens that can be exchanged for lucrative rewards in the game shop. If you manage to conquer the Dark Elixir Challenge in the final days of the event, you’ll be rewarded with an exclusive emote to add to your collection.
