Sunday has been revealed to follow the Path of Harmony, which is typically reserved for supportive characters in Honkai: Star Rail. According to the preview, Sunday will be a new support character who enables ally characters and their summons to take immediate action. Honkai: Star Rail – Sunday Kit Explained
Sunday’s kit allows one ally character and their summons to immediately take action and increases their damage output. If the character has a summon, the damage buff will be additionally increased. It should be noted that this action effect cannot be applied to other Harmony characters in Honkai: Star Rail. The buff also increases a teammate’s CRIT Rate for several turns.
Sunday’s Ultimate, Ode to Aress and Cicatrix, regenerates a certain amount of Energy for one ally character, scaling with their Max Energy. If the ally has a summon, it transforms into “The Beatified,” granting additional CRIT Rate for three turns. However, if Sunday is defeated, the Ultimate effect is canceled. Sunday’s Traces in Honkai: Star Rail focus on Energy Regeneration and removing debuffs from allies. Many fans seem disappointed with Sunday’s kit and overall effectiveness on the battlefield, as they had hoped he would be a new DPS character in Honkai: Star Rail.
However, some players speculate that Sunday might become a must-have unit in the coming months as Honkai: Star Rail‘s meta could change significantly. Currently, the dominant team compositions rely heavily on the Break effect, but fans believe the next meta may emphasize characters’ summons.
