Stalker 2 Anomaly Glitch Lets You Zip Across The Map

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl players have a lot to deal with right now. While there’s a great game somewhere in there, it’s currently being shrouded by bugs and performance issues. While GSC Game World has committed to addressing these issues, players have taken things into their own hands via mods for the performance issues and workarounds for the broken economy.

Hardcore fans are going to stick with GSC Game World’s sequel no matter what.

However, there’s only that much they can do until the game gets fixed. So, for now, any bugs could just be viewed as unexplainable anomalies. Keeping this in mind, one player has figured out a way to exploit these buggy anomalies, making it a great fast travel tool.

In The Zone, Everything Is An Anomaly

The Zone is home to various kinds of anomalies, some more dangerous than others. Vortex anomalies are lower on the list in terms of danger, and can be found almost anywhere in the Zone. They aren’t harmful if you keep your distance, and can be easily identified. However, Redditor jbarn23 noted that they can also be exploited to fly across the map and land safely.

In a video posted to Reddit, they demonstrated that entering an anomaly right as you toss a bolt into it will send you flying in the direction you’re facing, and you’ll land safely too. This isn’t how the anomaly usually works, but if you time it correctly, you’re in for a quick flight across the map. This is obviously one of the many bugs that are currently prevalent in the game, so enjoy it while it lasts.

“It’s all about the timing,” they advised. “You want to walk into the anomaly at the same time your bolt hits it. I find having the Veles detector to be very useful as you can use it to position yourself close to the anomaly, however it’s not necessary.”

It’s no wonder that despite the number of bugs and performance issues, Stalker 2 fans seem to love the game. Perhaps it’s because they’ve been treating every major and minor bug they come across as an anomaly. That’s probably a healthy way to deal with it, considering the game has been developed in a literal war zone.

Unhealthy behaviour would be if you fancied yourself a real-life Stalker and decided to visit the real Chernobyl exclusion zone in Ukraine.
