Silent Hill 2 players have already found another TV set in the remake that has a hidden Morse Code message for James, although this one sadly doesn’t seem to involve the time loop theory.
One of the biggest things that makes Silent Hill 2 such an all-timer is its many, many hidden details. Beyond all of the layers and meanings that the main story has, James’ hellish trip through a former vacation spot is also stuffed with easter eggs and things that are incredibly easy to miss, from unique endings to powerful weapons.

One of the most interesting discovers is one that was found just a few days ago by YouTuber Shiba, who found a TV set that was spouting Morse Code. If translated, the code says, “Again and Again and Again” on a loop, which seems to support the time loop theory that started with the remake’s mysterious Polaroids.

Silent Hill 2 TV Set Message References The Iconic Ending Twist
As it turns out, though, that’s not the only TV in Silent Hill 2 that has a hidden Morse Code message for James. As reported by VGC, Shiba decided to check some of the other TVs after finding the first Morse Code and discovered that one of the sets in the Woodside Apartments has its own message.
Shiba notes that the message played on this specific TV can also be heard in the Otherworld version of the Brookhaven Hospital observation room and in Room 106 of Jack’s Inn.
According to Shiba’s video (which I’ll have to trust in as someone who doesn’t know Morse Code), the message that plays on this TV reads, “Why did you do it, James?”. This is a clear nod to Silent Hill 2’s iconic twist ending, which reveals that James Sunderland is in Silent Hill after murdering his wife and burying the memories within himself out of guilt.
While it’s a bit of a shame that this TV message doesn’t also support the time loop theory like the last one did, it’s still a very cool detail for players to find, and something that shows how much Bloober cared about getting the little details right. As someone who just ran around smashing TV sets in my playthrough, it’s also had the bonus effect of making me feel like a total easter-egg-missing idiot.
