S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has a lot of tough choices to commit to, and many of them will crack players’ minds with indecision. One of those choices players need to make happens when completing the King Of The Hill Mission in Stalker 2.

Stalker 2: How To Keep Tutorial Items
Losing everything once the introductory missions end can be frustrating. Thankfully, there is a way to keep the tutorial items in Stalker 2.
Players will be asked to kill two of the Kingpings of the Garbage Zone for Varan, during the A Deal With The Devil Mission. But the question remains, should they kill The Shah or Roosevelt? Here’s is what players should take into consideration.
Should Players Kill Roosevelt In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl?
Killing Roosevelt might prove to be quite complicated, since players cannot access the base where he lies hidden unless they start a frontal assault (like we did). But, there’s another option: using Stealth, by accessing the base’s backdoor through the shooting range.
If players kill Roosevelt, they will need to pick up his PDA to complete the Mission Objective, and deliver it to Varan. Once they do so, the location of Roosevelt’s Stash will be revealed on the map.
Killing Roosevelt has no immediate consequences, only the elimination of a deranged and dangerous bandit that is using the Commissaire for its own selfish purposes. And, of course: there’s lots of loot to be gained from sweeping out the entire base. But if players come and go unnoticed, only killing the Kingping and its guards, then the rest of the Commissaire gang will not attack them.
Should Players Kill Shah In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl?
As with Roosevelt, killing Shah is not so easy. This time, there’s no secret entrance, and there are only two ways to do this seamlessly. The first lies in the Secondary Mission No Honor Among Thieves, if players choose to kill Docent, and reveal the location of Shah’s first Stash, they’ll notice that when bringing Shah’s Mate to the doorman, it will let them in.
The Bar is exclusive for Brood Bandits, so if players try to enter in any other way, they will be attacked. Which, takes us to our other option: carve a bloody path to reach Shah. If players do it this way, they will have to deal with a lot of bouncers before they can target Shah, who is hidden on the second floor of the Bar.

Stalker 2: How to Install Mods
If you’re itching to spice up your Stalker 2 experience, here’s a quick refresher on general instructions for manual mod installation.
Once Shah is dead, pick the PDA from his body and it will reveal the location of yet another Stash for the Shah, which is northwest from the Brood Bar, on the Rooftop of a Ward base. It contains a modified UDP and a Silencer, so it might be worth looting.
Killing Shah will have no immediate consequences for the plot, but, upon killing him Garbage will be at the mercy of either Roosevelt or Varan, so, it’s up to the players to decide who to kill. There’s still another option.
What Happens If Players Kill Both Shah And Roosevelt In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2?
If players decide to clear out Garbage of dangerous gangsters, they can go after both Roosevelt and Shah, but they need to do it before returning to Varan. This will have no extra consequences but will guarantee players access to both Shah and Roosevelt’s Stashes, which have some nice loot.
Don’t forget to pick up both PDAs from the corpses to reveal the location of the Stashes, otherwise, they will be locked out and players will miss the chance to get the weapons and ammo they contain.
But this quest has yet another option for players to resolve things in a more expedited way: Killing Varan.
What Happens If Players Kill Varan In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2?
To complete the Deal With The Devil, there are two other options the players can take if they don’t want to go through the trouble of killing both Kingpings, and they want to make things quicker.
The first is to pay Varan 20000 coupons for the information, which is excessive, but if players have used the money farming glitch, they should have lots of money to spare.
The other is Killing Varan and his goons (there are approximately 10 of them, so watch out), which is the faster way to complete this quest. Since Varan plans to betray us from the get-go, this will bypass the other objectives and cancel the King of The Hill Quest.
After doing that, simply loot the Garage Key from Varan’s corpse, drop to the lower level, open the deposit door, and loot both corpses there to complete the Mission Objective.
No matter what the players choose, upon returning to the Slag Heap players will notice The Ward soldiers have taken over it, and a new Quest will start.
Players can still come back to Garbage and kill both Shah and Roosevelt if they want to loot their bases, even if they choose to kill Varan before completing King of the Hill.
