Free Fire becomes 4th game in the Esports World Cup 2025: Who are the others?

Free Fire’s announcement as a part of the Esports World Cup came during the World Series (FFWS) Global Finals in Brazil on Nov. 24. This comes after the game was a part of the EWC 2024.

The EWC — Free Fire 2024 took place from July 10 to 14 and had a prize pool of $1 million. After a few years of turbulence, the Free Fire esports ecosystem is recovering with increased viewership. As a result, Garena is bringing its mid-year competition to Saudi Arabia once again.

No other details regarding the Free Fire competition in the EWC 2025 were announced. All we know is that it will happen in the Summer of next year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This makes Free Fire the 4th game to confirm its attendance in the EWC 2025 officially. The other games include Honor of Kings, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and Call of Duty: Warzone.

While not announced officially, PUBG Mobile is also almost certainly going to be a part of the EWC 2025. Earlier this year, the game revealed a three-year tie-up with the Esports World Cup Foundation. PUBG Mobile will likely be unveiled at the PMGC 2024 Global Finals in London, United Kingdom.

Despite this, their dominance in the Grand Finals, which included three ‘BOOYAHS!’ ensured that they were able to claim the title despite the odds stacked against them.
