#5 – Red Bull Air Race MXS-R
The Red Bull MXS-R is made for air racing. This means its cruising speed is rather low compared to other planes on this list at 172.6 MPH/150 KTAS. Its acceleration is where it shines. You can quickly get into the air and fly around landmarks while enjoying the sights. Its agile steering allows you to stay low to the ground at high speeds. The MXS-R has a max altitude of 12,999 ft.

Its cruising speed is also 519 MPH/451 KTAS, but it’s much smaller than the Citation. You will see and hear the sound barrier break as you put the F/A-18E through its paces. Its max altitude is 45,000 ft. You can also activate the F/A-18E’s rear hook to land on aircraft carriers.
