How To Complete A Very Scottish Celebration In Disney Dreamlight Valley (Merida Level 10 Friendship Quest)
How To Start A Very Scottish Celebration
To start ‘A Very Scottish Celebration’ in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to reach level 10 friendship with Merida and complete her proceeding Friendship Quests, including her level seven quest called ‘Change Your Fate.’ The quickest way to do this is by hanging out with her and giving her gifts, including her daily favorites. Once you reach level 10, speak with Merida and select the ‘A Very Scottish Celebration’ dialogue to get started.
Talk To Scrooge McDuck About Supplies For Merida’s Scottish Banquet And Decorate The Vale With Banners
The first objective is to talk to Scrooge McDuck about supplies for Merida’s Scottish Banquet, who gives you the following things:
- 10 Clan McDuck Banners
- 10 Clan Dunbroch Banners
- Scots’ Banquet Supplies
Use the Furniture menu to decorate the Vale with all the Clan McDuck and Clan Dunbroch banners anywhere you like, such as around The Bind. Once you’ve finished decorating, chat with Merida to give her the Scots’ Banquet Supplies.
Cook The Salt-Baked Sea Wolf Recipe
Check your mailbox to claim and learn the Salt-Baked Sea Wolf recipe, a 2-star Storybook Vale meal. However, you’ll need to make three Salt-Baked Sea Wolf dishes to tick off this objective and make enough food for the banquet, which requires the following ingredients:
- Three Sea Wolf fish
- Three Salt Crystals
To get Sea Wolf, you need to fish in blue ripples in the water surrounding The Bind. To get Salt Crystals, fish anywhere outside ripples in Everafter, such as in the long river within The Wild Woods. Once you’ve cooked all the meals, return to Merida and speak with her to give her the Salt-Baked Sea Wolf.
Place The Scots’ Banquet Setup Somewhere In The Storybook Vale
Merida then gives you the Scots’ Banquet Setup, a lovely wooden-style canopy to host the banquet. You can place this anywhere, provided it’s in any of the three Storybook Vale biomes, like near the Clan banner decorations from earlier or Merida’s cottage, for example. Use the Furniture menu to place the Banquet Setup, triggering a photo opportunity with several Valley villagers enjoying the feast.
Take a photo, then speak with Scrooge McDuck optionally, followed by Merida to chat about the banquet’s success. Make sure you talk to Scrooge before Merida if you would like to chat with both characters. Otherwise, you won’t be able to speak to him about the quest if you chat with Merida first. Merida feels sad that the Lorekeeper couldn’t join in and wants you to talk to the Lorekeeper in the Library of Lore.

Gather Supplies To Craft Merida’s Fate Tapestry
After speaking with the Lorekeeper, the final step in ‘A Very Scottish Celebration’ is to craft Merida’s Fate Tapestry, which the Lorekeeper wants you to make. To make Merida’s gift, you’ll need the following things:
- 20 Petrified Wood – from mining rock nodes in The Bind and small rocks in The Library of Lore.
- 10 Pine Cones – near large trees in The Bind.
- 8 Topaz – found mining rocks in The Bind and the Plaza, plus the Docks and the Courtyard if you have the ‘A Rift in Time’ expansion.
Once you have everything you need, craft Merida’s Fate Tapestry at a crafting table and talk with Merida to gift her the Tapestry on behalf of the Lorekeeper. Afterward, follow Merida to The Library of Lore, where she speaks with the Lorekeeper to say thank you. When they’ve finished chatting, speak to Merida a final time to complete the ‘A Very Scottish Celebration’ quest and pick up the following as rewards:
- The Tartan Celebration Outfit.
- 3,080 Dreamlight.
The Tartan Celebration Outfit is a Scottish-themed outfit with a tartan kilt design and is reminiscent of some of the outfits from Disney’s movie Brave. You can equip it for your character from the Wardrobe menu.
