Call of Duty: Easiest Zombies Maps

Call of Duty Zombies has been a stellar experience for over a decade, and with Black Ops 6 bringing forth even more zombie content, some new players might want to know what some of the easiest COD Zombies maps are from past iterations so that they can jump in and better understand the round-based gameplay loop and reach the highest rounds they can muster.

Black Ops 6 proves the power of Wonder Weapons, but there are some from previous maps that deserve to return to their former glory.

While there have been some truly tough maps in the COD Zombies franchise, there are some maps that are way easier than the rest, and they allow players to have a great deal of fun without having an abundance of fear of getting trapped or killed in the early rounds.

8 Buried

Fun and Overpowered Weapons for an Easy Ride to Round 100

Buried was once the final map for the Victis crew in Black Ops 2, and as such, they were provided with a celebration. Buried is a big blow-out, a grand adventure that focuses on fun and overpowered mechanics rather than story and buildables. Buried excels in weapon variety with the Paralyzer allowing for free movement and the ability to slow zombies, and the Time Bomb permitting players to rewind rounds in case of death.

Buried also provides plenty of ways to get all the Perks with the ghost girls in the mansion that barely do damage but steal points with every hit. When killing them all, a free Perk Power-Up is provided. So many mechanics to obtain basically everything makes for an easy and fun ride, and the Subsurface Resonator paired with the Turbine at the Jugger-Nog spot allows players to stand still and reach well over round 100.

7 Liberty Falls

A Spacious West Virginia Town With All Perks and Powerful Weapons

One of the easiest COD Zombies maps comes from the most recent iteration of the mode with Liberty Falls. This map is definitely easy, not only in terms of its speed-running easter egg main quest but also in terms of map layout. Liberty Falls is easy to navigate, and there are no steps required to unlock Perks or Pack-a-Punch, since the power is already on and players just need to spend Essence on the doors to open it all up.

The fact that players can buy all Perks, obtain the OP Wonder Weapons through free quests, and get Tier-3 Pack-a-Punch weapons makes for an easy camo grind, especially when the spaces available are very open with desolate streets with abandoned cars that can be vaulted over. The only true difficulty in Liberty Falls comes from the Mangler spam that occurs after around Round 30, and even then a Scorestreak can easily take them out.

6 Der Eisendrache

Simple for Those Who Want to Train, Expansive for Those on a Quest

Der Eisendrache is the perfect blend of classic COD Zombies and new COD Zombies. For those who want a more classic experience where they can turn on the power, spin the Mystery Box, grab their Perks and enjoy Pack-a-Punch, then they certainly can, especially with the easy and open spaces that allow for fun hordes of zombies to pile up without risk of being devoured alive.

Edward Richtofen has had some hilarious and brilliant quotes across his time in Call of Duty Zombies as both Primis and Ultimis.

Yet, there’s a layer of friendly complexity to Der Eisendrache that veterans might enjoy thanks to its main quest and the Wrath of the Ancients bow that takes cues from Mob of the Dead to obtain, and its four distinct upgrades are fun to work on. It’s not an overly complicated map, and it’s easily one of the best.

5 Der Riese

Everything a Zombies Map Needs with Areas, Perks, and Upgrades

  • Featured in: Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

The first map to feature Pack-a-Punch is still one of the easiest to date for numerous reasons. Not only does the addition of Pack-a-Punch make for a whopping good time with weapons that will deal more damage, but the map layout itself provides some nice areas for players to navigate and manipulate zombie spawns.

Players who work together can also head up to the catwalk and help each other stand their ground and camp in one spot for round after round with ease. The addition of the Wunderwaffe DG-2 also helps eradicate hordes of undead with a single blast, and Der Riese is a competent enough size that it doesn’t feel overwhelming, but doesn’t feel claustrophobic either.

4 Kino Der Toten

Back to Basics in an Open Theater of the Damned

  • Featured in: Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Kino Der Toten proves the beauty in simplicity, as this starting map for Black Ops takes players to a boxed-in theater with a few rooms where every player can have their own spot to hunker down in and train zombies. Kino der Toten is easy to navigate, and getting lost is practically impossible with how close-knit each room is.

Best COD Zombies Maps to Play for Their Atmosphere

Some COD Zombies maps aren’t just great for their level design and lore, and they ooze an atmosphere unmatched that adds a new layer of immersion.

There is some challenge in Kino der Toten with its use of Nova-Six Crawlers, but they are easily avoided in the open areas, like training backstage of the theater or in the courtyard garage area. It’s a fun map that’s a true classic for a reason, and its easy design makes for common high rounds.

3 Firebase Z

Exclusive Wonder Weapon and Expansive Areas Makes Training Even Easier

  • Featured in: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Firebase Z was the second map to grace Black Ops Cold War, and the difficulty did not increase all that much. Firebase Z has some very open areas where training is a cakewalk, and players can easily just walk in circles around hordes of zombies. There are some minor challenges, like the fright of Mimics and the dreaded Orda rounds, but they are easy enough to take care of with Scorestreaks.

With such open spaces, Firebase Z is made even easier with the map-specific Wonder Weapon: the RAI K-84, which is essentially a Ray Gun Assault Rifle that decimates zombies on high rounds. Black Ops Cold War is very easy when it comes to Zombies content, and Firebase Z is one of the easiest maps out there.

2 Die Maschine

Extremely Open Spaces and the Ability to Purchase All Perks

  • Featured in: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

The first map for Black Ops Cold War promised something new, and it did so by going back to the beginning with a new rendition of Nacht der Untoten. Black Ops Cold War has unique mechanics to previous COD titles, and the use of a three-tier Pack-a-Punch, weapon rarity upgrades, loadouts, vaulting, and armor stations made the game all the easier. Mechanics aside, the map itself was pretty easy.

Die Maschine is extremely open, and many areas outside of Nacht der Untoten are easy to train in. Whether it’s the spawn area outside Nacht or the airfield itself, so many spots in Die Maschine benefit from players simply running circles around zombies to easily achieve high rounds.

1 Ascension

Great Places to Train Zombies and Easy Access to Perks

  • Featured in: Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

As one of the starting maps for Black Ops, Ascension proves how easy certain strategies can be in COD Zombies. Ascension is a nice open map in which players have plenty of spots to which they can train zombies. The central courtyard where PhD Flopper / Widow’s Wine is located is perhaps the easiest training spot in COD Zombies history due to its giant square shape.

On top of easy training spots set about the map, there are no hellhounds to torment players. However, there is the addition of zombie space monkeys that will beat up Perk-a-Cola machines. If successful, players lose the Perk and have to buy it again. It’s not the end of the world, but it can be frustrating, but it still doesn’t take away from how easy this map can be.
