Arcane Fans Have 3 League Of Legends Shows To Wait For

Key Takeaways

  • Next League of Legends series already in development for over a year.
  • Shows that focus on League of Legends areas, Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia are in the works.
  • These shows will step in now that Arcane is over.

With Arcane officially over, fans of the Netflix series are likely looking for more shows to watch and unfortunately, there simply aren’t that many programs out there that hold a candle to it in quality or style. However, that doesn’t mean that Arcane fans have to go without for all that long. It turns out there are a couple of other shows in the planning nad one has been in production for longer than anyone realized.

Arcane gained quite a following over the years after it debuted on Netflix in 2021. Mainly following sisters Vi and Powder (aka Jinx) as they navigate the world of Piltover and crime ridden underworld that is literally below the great city. The show is the first that dove into and established lore for the League of Legends video game universe. After a three-year wait, Arcane finally debuted its second and final season in three parts. While fans of the show have expressed their regrets over the series not running any longer than the two installments, the League of Legends cinematic universe is only growing.

League Of Legends Getting Three Series After Arcane

In a recent Twitch interview with streamer Necrit94, Arcane showrunner Christian Linke revealed that the next League of Legends series has already been in development “for about a year.” He then reiterated that Riot is “far from done” when “building a slate to tell new story and continue others.” And while it Jinx and Vi and Jayce and the rest are being left in the dust, there are going to be stories from other parts of this world that will have a new focus. In doing so, the creators will be able to fill out even more of the lore from one of the most beloved video game universes out there.

Linke didn’t keep much a secret once he let the cat out of the bag about the shows being planned and worked on. He said that “Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia are getting shows and are [the] next steps into this cinematic universe.”

Noxus is the home of Mel and Ambessa Medara and is known as a particularly violent area that is often besieged by wars and conquerors who want to sit a throne. Meanhwile, Ionia is surrounded by dangers seas and is composed of several allied locations that are scattered across a massive archipelago. This area is very important to the League of Legends universe as it’s referred to by many as the First Lands. Finally, The Kingdom of Demacia is a significant location in League of Legends lore. The Great City is the main hub of the whole Region and is home to the nobility of the area.

As of now, there’s no indication what region will get the focus or which of the three stories has been in production for more than a year. There is also no indication on when fans can expect to see the first of the shows, though if the three year gap between seasons of Arcane is any indication, it would appear people can expect to see the new show launch in late 2026 or early 2027.
