Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream

The Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 livestream aired on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 4:30am PST / 7:30am EST / 12:30pm BST / 1:30pm CET / 9:30pm AEST.

This pre-release special program included Zenless Zone Zero codes for players to redeem for a limited time following the broadcast.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 banners

ZZZ banners are split into two phases, and we’ve included a list of all the S-Ranks available to pull in version 1.2 below. For a full breakdown of all the A-Rank characters, Bangboo, and W-Engines with increased drop rates, our Zenless Zone Zero banners guide should be your next stop.

The Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 banners include:

  • Caesar (Electric, Stun)
  • Burnice (Physical, Anomaly)

We also expect the signature Zenless Zone Zero W-Engines for these characters to appear on the accompanying weapon banner. The Sons of Calydon’s Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo will also debut, making a faction-oriented team with Lucy and Piper viable for the first time.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 characters

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 is set to debut two playable characters from the Sons of Calydon, the biker gang that roams the Outer Ring. We expect obvious synergy with fellow gang members Lucy and Piper, alongside more synergies with the emerging Anomaly meta.

The Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 characters are:

  • Caesar (Physical, Defense)
  • Burnice (Fire, Anomaly)

Caesar

Caesar King is the first Physical-aligned Defense character to arrive in ZZZ. As the Sons of Calydon’s leader, we expect her to stay front and center in ZZZ 1.2’s story. A combination of stun and support, Caesar is more brawn than brain, and that’s just how we like her. She’ll be the go-to pull for parry-happy Proxies thanks to her follow-up attack chains and built-in crit rate and impact buffs. Her high Daze application makes her an excellent unit to round off the best Zenless Zone Zero team comp for Jane Doe and Seth.

Burnice

Burnice White is the Sons of Calydon’s plucky petrolhead, powered by Nitro-Fuel and a never-say-die attitude. This flame-spitting Anomaly unit teases tease out the viability of Disorder teams by triggering Afterburn while off-field, leaving her allies to do the heavy lifting while she takes a backseat. We expect her to have excellent synergy with Grace and Seth, and she’ll undoubtedly boost Soldier 11’s placement in our tier list.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 story

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2’s story has plenty of ground to cover following the events of previous updates. After Perlman’s prison break aboard the Supreme Court airship, Phaethon and the Cunning Hares Security will finally give chase to the Outer Ring, putting them straight on the path to meet Caesar, Burnice, and the rest of the Sons of Calydon.

However, it’s not all about tracking down Perlman. Along the way, we’ll be delving into the gang rivalry between the Sons of Calydon and the Vanquishers, climbing aboard our own iron horse, and coming face-to-face with the enigmatic Overlord. The rising Ether concentration levels in Cinderglow Lake also don’t bode well, as Phaethon and friends are drawn into a dangerous power struggle.

Version 1.2 may also introduce several characters spotted on the streets of New Eridu, such as Lighter and Harumasa. Finally, the ZZZ 1.2 update might provide some clues surrounding the mysterious master the Victoria Housekeeping Co. serves, though we don’t expect that mask to lift for some time yet.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 events

Zenless Zone Zero events are limited-time commissions, scenarios, and alternate game modes that allow Proxies to pick up rare and unique rewards. Some events have been announced in name only, so watch out for them as and when they appear in the RPG game.

Here are the events coming to ZZZ 1.2:

  • Overlord’s Feast
  • Ridu for You
  • Roaming the Ether
  • 141 Friendship Fair
  • Investigator Training Course

Overlord’s Feast is the headline event for ZZZ 1.2, which sees Proxies work to renovate and run a roadside diner. This event gives you a glimpse into the lives of the Outer Ring’s populace, and completing it lets you redeem the A-Rank character Lucy for free. Given her synergy with Burnice, Caesar, and Jane, it stands to reason you won’t want to miss it.

Now you’re all prepped for the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 release date, catch up on the Zenless Zone Zero Hollow rework, as well as HoYoverse’s post-launch revenue stats. We’ve also got a handy list of all the upcoming PC games to check out between ZZZ updates.
