Giovanni’s best cards hail from Gym Challenge.

However, while this Pokemon features some spectacular art, some scenes were reused on multiple cards. You’ll notice this with distinct cards that share the same art as well as identical art with slightly different stamps. From HeartGold & SoulSilver to Diamond and Pearl, these Electivire cards are impressive.

Cards are ordered according to their
TCGPlayer
Market Price,
which you might pay on average for a copy of the cards below.

Given the age and rarity of these cards,
only
those with an
established market price on TCGplayer
are included.

However,
sale prices differ depending on the card’s condition,
so this market price is just a rough idea of the card’s value.

5 Electivire: Diamond & Pearl (Holo Rare) – $4.49

A Diamond In The Rough

The Electivire from Diamond & Pearl in the Pokemon TCG.

Electivire’s first entry starts with a relatively modest price tag, though none of its cards are exceptionally expensive. Luckily, this Electivire offers a cheaper alternative to a similar card to follow, though it’s not from Diamond & Pearl. The full body shot offers a great view of this Electric-type Pokemon’s fantastic design.

While this card comes in both reverse holo and holo versions, the latter boasts the more valuable set of cards. Heavily played (HP) cards sell for about two dollars, while moderately played (MP) cards can sell for about $1.25. However, lightly played (LP) cards jump to three dollars, followed by near-mint (NM) copies clocking in at around five dollars.

A Stamped Stunner

The Electivire from the Regional Championships in the Pokemon TCG.

You might feel like you’re having déjà vu, and you’re right, as this card features identical art to the previous Electivire, though it boasts an all-important Regional Championships stamp. Unfortunately, this valuable promo card is much more difficult to find than its cousin, with only a single sale on TCGplayer to represent this card’s price.

An LP sale sets the current market price, leaving a bit of room for growth once an inevitable NM sale pops up. While it’s yet to be determined exactly how much higher the price may jump, this card has a chance to move further up the list among the best Electivire cards.

3 Electivire FB Lv. X: Supreme Victors (Ultra Rare) – $25.37

A Punch Above

The Electivire from Supreme Victors in the Pokemon TCG.

Supreme Victors is an outstanding set that boasts some of the most expensive versions of the legendary birds from Kanto. While Electivire doesn’t quite make the cut as one of the top few, its impressive value eclipses the other Electivire cards we’ve reviewed thus far, with this Ultra Rare flying five times above the previous Electivire.

HP copies still offer solid value at roughly $7.50 while MP jumps up closer to the $9.50 range. LP cards can jump toward the $12 plateau, but only NM copies of this card can reach the significantly higher market value that this card boasts over worse conditions.

2 Electivire LV. X: Mysterious Treasures (Ultra Rare) – $29.81

Reaching For The Stars

The Electivire from Mysterious Treasures in the Pokemon TCG.

Thus far, Electivire’s poses have followed a similar theme, portraying this Electric-type Pokemon with its palm outstretched in the middle of reaching for something.

While we can’t be sure what Electivire is trying to grab, this card is one you should snag if you like this Pokemon, as it’s one of the best options available.

Damaged copies still hold enough demand to command five dollars, while HP cards only jump slightly toward eight dollars, followed finally by MP cards at roughly ten dollars. If you’re only looking for the best of the best, then your search will lead you to the LP section, where you can expect to pay about $22 or more, while the NM copies typically sell for the market price.

A Premier Promo

The Electivire HGSS Promo from the Pokemon TCG.

This Electivire promo from HeartGold and SoulSilver stands well above the rest of the best, as this card sits just shy of the $40 mark, eclipsing the next closest competitor by about ten dollars.

While this deficit is likely to change over time, it’s a good point of reference to see how each card fares moving forward.

As you might expect, this card hardly sells on TCGplayer due to its scarcity, but surprisingly, both of the recent sales are for cards in NM condition, setting the high at $40 exactly. While the more recent sale is a few cents cheaper, it’s a good indication that this card is building a strong ceiling around this value, so expect a discount on cards in LP condition or worse.
