Throughout the Batman: Arkham games, Batman and other playable characters have had alternate costumes that bounced off the pages of comics.
Batman: Arkham Knight already had many options for alternate costumes, but that didn’t stop some fans from wanting more options. With mods, so many new suits can be added to the game with a few clicks of a mouse, with some replicating iconic looks from comics, movies, and other video games.
15 Batman – Beware The Batman Animated Series
The Forgotten Animated Series That Deserves More Love
- Mod Created By: YanDaniel04
- Mod Link
- Based On: Anthony Ruivivar’s Batman in the Beware The Batman animated series
In Batman: Arkham City, fans were treated to a suit based on Batman: The Animated Series, which maintained the visual style of the series but with 3D models. Batman: Arkham Knight strangely did not do that again, but the fans made up for it with Batman skin mods based on nearly every animated version of the character, including the often forgotten and underrated Beware The Batman.
The mod comes from YanDaniel on NexusMods, imitating the 3D animated visuals of Beware The Batman with The Dark Knight’s suit having the glossy rubber-like texture enhanced by the already beautiful visuals of Arkham Knight. Fans of Beware The Batman can use the suit to play out the fantasy of the lost second season that they never received.
14 JoeMama’s Batman Forever Sonar Suit
The Prototype Batsuit That Turned Val Kilmer Into An Iconic Batman
The developers at Rocksteady went through the trouble of adapting the live-action Batman suits of Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, and Robert Pattinson, but not Val Kilmer. Batman Forever is still a major part of Batman’s cinematic history, which is why modder JoeMama can be thanked for bringing Val Kilmer’s Sonar Suit from the climax into Batman: Arkham Knight.
Not only does it accurately replicate the metallic gray suit with the massive symbol, JoeMama even added the detail of remodeling Batman’s face to better resemble Val Kilmer. The Batman Forever Sonar Suit also fits into Arkham Knight since it was one of the first movie suits to embrace a high-tech armored look, which would later become the standard after movies like Batman Begins.
13 Red Hood Zero Year
Sometimes There Is No Beating The Classics
Despite being a fan-favorite character with a plethora of designs to choose from, Red Hood was given only one alternate costume. Menkimedi collaborated with LonelyOMEGA to create the Red Hood Zero Year mod, which gives fans of the character a look that many agreed should have been in the game from the moment Red Hood’s DLC dropped.
The Zero Year skin is based on Jason Todd’s debut as the Red Hood in Batman: Under The Red Hood. It is what many fans think of when they think of Red Hood, from the brown modified biker jacket to the white eyes that arguably look better than the base Arkhamverse design for the character.
12 Catwoman Injustice Regime
The Cat Who Could Take On Metahuman Foes
- Mod Created By: NaturalGuy
- Mod Link
- Based On: Catwoman’s Regime costume in Injustice: Gods Among Us
Catwoman is another character that did not get treated well in terms of skins, whereas her Injustice counterpart had several choices in both games. With the Regime version of Catwoman from Injustice: Gods Among Us, Selina is brought back to her origins with an emphasis on purple, but updated to match a more armored look.

The Injustice universe is far and away the most advance scenario ever rationalized to make two cartoon characters hit each other.
Thanks to NaturalGuy on NexusMods, Regime Catwoman can be playable in Batman: Arkham Knight, with her hook-like claws and altered character model designed to look like a remastered version of the Injustice: Gods Among Us model. It’s also fitting since Grey Griffin voices Selina in both the Arkhamverse and Injustice franchises.
11 Batman Rebirth Styled V8
A Better Reward For Playing Through The Game Twice
- Mod Created By: KableDK & MrBinkss
- Mod Link
- Based On: Red Hood as he was depicted in the Batman: Under The Red Hood graphic novel
As beloved as Batman: Arkham Knight is, most would agree that the Prestige suit is not worth grinding for 240% and going through the game twice, including New Game Plus mode. It’s the base suit but is virtually unchanged aside from the symbol being yellow. Becuase of this, the Batman Rebirth Styled V8 mod is a better option for those wanting to skip that process.
It mostly changes the suit’s colors, but the changes are across the entire suit with brighter grays and vibrant golds. However, as the name suggests, it is inspired by the DC Rebirth comics, so the symbol features a golden trim, but the trim is detailed to look like more than a new coat of paint, giving the symbol more depth. As a nice bonus, Batman is sporting white eyes straight out of a comic book.
10 Batman: The Long Halloween
Perfect For A Halloween-Set Batman Game
Of all the DLC suits that were canceled, the suit based on Batman: The Long Halloween was arguably one of the more unfortunate. Batman: Arkham Knight takes place on Halloween night, which would make The Long Halloween suit ideal for a DLC, but it was for naught as it was cut alongside other suits.
A few modders have attempted to put The Long Halloween version of Batman into the game, but the mod by MStill aims for a comic book-accurate design but with Arkhamverse detail in the same vein as the Batman Incorporated and New 52 skins. It has long ears, a condensed symbol, and the option to pick between white eyes and regular eyes to suit the player’s preference.
9 Arkham Origins Robin
Missing Robin Design Resurrected By Fans
This skin was originally introduced in Batman: Arkham Origins, but it was only featured in the fun but now-defunct multiplayer mode. It remains the only time fans have witnessed what Dick Grayson looked like as Robin in the Arkhamverse, at least until creator unwiredx created a mod that allows Tim Drake to become Dick Grayson in Batman: Arkham Knight.
The mod was developed using the suit from Arkham Origins, but tweaked to match Dick Grayson’s character model in Arkham Knight. Little details like that go a long way with fans of the Arkhamverse and show how much dedication some modders have to a game that is almost a decade old.
8 Harley Quinn Arkham Skin Pack
Allows Fans To Relive The Evolution Of Harley
- Mod Created By: BRONXBX
- Mod Link
- Based On: Harley Quinn’s various looks in the Arkhamverse, from Batman: Arkham Asylum to Batman: Arkham Origins
Instead of one, the Harley Quinn Arkham Skin Pack by BRONXBX is a mod that gives Harley Quinn four different skins, each from a different Batman: Arkham game. Fans of how Harley Quinn was designed in Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City can rejoice, as the mod remasters those costumes for Arkham Knight.

DC: 6 Strongest Versions Of Harley Quinn, Ranked
Harley Quinn proves how characters can evolve in the pages of DC Comics, and throughout the multiverse, she has some pretty strong variants.
As a nice bonus, the mod gives Harley her Dr. Harleen Quinzel appearance from Batman: Arkham Origins. The only shame is that the skins cannot be appreciated in the open world, as all other characters besides Batman are reserved for the Challenge Maps.
7 Burton-Keaton Skin Pack
Over Three Decades Of A Revolutionary Batman
While there is a skin based on the Batman movie from 1989, the other suit worn by Michael Keaton Douglas in Batman Returns was strangely absent. However, thanks to the efforts of RRe36, fans of the iconic version of Batman can be treated with three new suits for Batman: Arkham Knight, with more detail and even more resemblance to Keaton Douglas.
On top of the remastered 1989 and Batman Returns skins, there is the inclusion of the suit worn by Michael Keaton Douglas in The Flash. While The Flash was a divisive film overall, most fans would agree that Batman was a highlight, with a nicely upgraded suit that is replicated to near perfection here by the modder.
6 JoeMama X IceMage – Beyond Evolved
Proof That A Batman Beyond Game Could Work
- Mod Created By: JoeMama & IceMage
- Mod Link
- Based On: Terry McGinnis as Batman in the Batman Beyond animated series and comic books
Rocksteady’s take on Batman Beyond featured in the game was unique, leading to it becoming a fan-favorite on the roster of costumes. With that said, fans of Batman Beyond have voiced that they would prefer a more accurate depiction of Terry McGinnis, which is where the combined forces of JoeMama and IceMage come in.
Complete with animated pieces of the suit, glowing cyberpunk technology, and a more true-to-form design, the creators designed a suit that strikes a fine line between being accurate to the cartoon and updated to fit a more cinematic style. It also shows the potential for an open-world cyberpunk-themed adventure in the future based on Batman Beyond.
5 Cassandra Cain Skin Pack
Modders Went Above And Beyond With Cassandra
Fans of Batgirl were given an overall good design for her with her DLC, but she had no alternate designs despite her having decades worth of suits to pick from. The Cassandra Cain Skin Pack by AvidSky1999 transforms Barbara into a totally different version of Batgirl named Cassandra Cain, a beloved character who strongly held the mantle on her own.
This mod comes with four costumes based on the various looks Cassandra Cain has had over the years, including Batgirl and three versions of her Orphan moniker. AvidSky1999 should be given proper credit for going through the trouble of creating a new character model and accurately depicting Cassandra Cain as being of Asian descent, rather than just giving Barbara black hair and calling it a day.
4 SiRME’s The Batman 2022 Suit
Somehow Better Than The Official Robert Pattinson DLC
After the massive success of Matt Reeves’ The Batman, Rocksteady surprised fans with a new skin in Batman: Arkham Knight based on Robert Pattinson’s Batman. Unfortunately, the skin was noticeably glitchy, and the details were lacking compared to other suits and even lacked a proper shadow at first.

The Batman 2: 15 Possible Villains For The Sequel
As fans wait patiently for a sequel to The Batman, the desire to see these famed Batman villains in the live-action series only grows.
Leave it to fans to improve upon a suit, with modder SiRME24 using what Rocksteady did as a skeleton to craft an even more detailed suit. Everything down to the stitching in the cowl and the symbol accurately looks like a detachable batarang. Similar to other movie-based mods, the new skin looks more like Robert Pattinson’s.
3 JoeMama’s Owlman Suit
Showcasing The Potential Of Owlman In The Future Of The Arkhamverse
From the feather-like design of the cape to the silvery chrome texture of the suit, JoeMama nailed the design for the mod that transforms Batman into his evil counterpart from Earth-Two: Owlman. The suit and new model for Bruce look like they would belong in an official Arkhamverse sequel that would introduce Owlman as the villain.
In the comics, Owlman is Thomas Wayne Jr. from another reality, one where the Justice League are the villains known as the Crime Syndicate and have conquered their planet. If Rocksteady ever decides to make a Justice League spin-off featuring the Crime Syndicate, JoeMama’s mods could be used as inspiration, or maybe they could be hired onto the dev team.
2 Batman: Arkham Shadow Suit
New Arkhamverse Designs Still Look Good In Arkham Knight
Rocksteady and Warner Bros. have the prime opportunity to market new Batman and DC games using Batman: Arkham Knight, given how many people still play it. With the release of Batman: Arkham Shadow, TheArkhamDoctor collaborated with Kbachani to create a replica of how Batman looks in the latest Arkhamverse game.
Batman: Arkham Shadowadds many new things to the lore, including Batman’s new suit, which strangely has bits and pieces of all suits in the Arkhamverse, with some of its own twists. The modders faithfully converted the suit to Arkham Knight, even featuring a battle-damaged version, and both suits maintained the design for Bruce’s model in Arkham Shadow.
1 Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League – Arkham Evolved Batman Suit
The Controversial Batman That Fought The Suicide Squad
As controversial as Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was, it did not disappoint in the design department, especially when it came to the Justice League. Batman was given a brand-new look for the late Kevin Conroy’s final performance as Batman, and it was unlike any other suit in the long and complex Arkhamverse timeline, making him look more like a superhero than ever before.
There is now the option to play as the Evolved Batman in Arkham Knight with a mod created by IceMage. They went through the extensive process of giving Batman’s suit new animations to accurately reproduce the suit’s appearance. There is even the option for his normal appearance, a corrupted Brainiac design, and an unmasked version, each with a new Bruce Wayne face model.
