How To Get Eastern Checkpoint Artifact in STALKER 2

Stalker 2 shouldn’t be confused with the Metro games. Aside from their post-apocalyptic settings, the two couldn’t be more different. While the Metro games are highly linear, Stalker 2 is an open-world title with much more in common with the Far Cry series.

In Stalker 2, you won’t just focus on main missions, the developers have packed the world with tons of intriguing items for players to discover. Artifacts are one such item type, and you can collect a fair number of them in the game’s starting area. The guide below explains where to find the Eastern Checkpoint Artifact.

Eastern Checkpoint Artifact Location in STALKER 2

How To Get Eastern Checkpoint Artifact

As the name suggests, the Eastern Checkpoint Artifact can be found near the Eastern Checkpoint, which is located on the eastern side of the Zalissya Base in the Lesser Zone. This area is near the starting region of the game, making it one of the first opportunities for players to explore and discover valuable items like artifacts.

To locate the artifact, start at the open gate of the Eastern Checkpoint. From this position, head south while keeping close to the wall. Continue moving in this direction, and when the wall turns left, follow its curve. As you progress along this path, keep an eye out for a cluster of bushes near a corpse and an opening in the wall. The artifact will be located in this area, so be thorough in your search to ensure you don’t miss it.

It’s worth noting that while the artifact’s location remains the same for all players, the specific type of artifact you receive is randomized. For example, we discovered the Spinner, an artifact that offers weak bleeding resistance and weighs 0.35 kg. Depending on your playthrough, you may find a different artifact entirely, each with its own unique properties and benefits.
