How To Get and Use the Shimuscope in Towers of Aghasba

Thankfully, it doesn’t require a lot from the players in order to obtain the Shimuscope in Towers of Aghasba. First, complete the Establish Our First Village quest early on in the game, and make a beeline to Pawel, who will now reside in your newly built village. Speaking to Pawel will turn the conversation to the Shimuscope, and reward you with this handy tool.

With that exchange over, you will now be in the possession of the Shimuscope, even if it doesn’t appear outwardly so. You will be able to use it at any time by hitting the middle mouse button or R3 if you are using a controller, which changes the view. Now, the camera functions like binoculars of sorts, where you can zoom in and out using the mouse wheel. While this can let you see distant objects, its true use is in collecting information about life in Towers of Aghasba.

Zoom in on any particular animal or plant life, and the screen will start narrowing down as the process continues. You will also see the Observing text appear on screen, signalling that you are collecting the information about this particular object. Once the process is completed, the newly discovered information will be added to your Shimudex. This will come in handy when you embark on the Unleash the Hunter Within quest, which requires you to observe several creatures during your journey. The more you know about the world and its peculiarities, the easier it will be to find what you need out in the wild, which makes the task of saving the world just a bit easier.
