Grand Theft Auto’s Remastered Trilogy Is Half Price On Nintendo Switch

Grand Theft Auto's Remastered Trilogy Is Half Price On Nintendo Switch

Key Takeaways

  • The Nintendo eShop’s Black Friday Cyber Deals sale is live and includes a lot of big games.
  • The remastered GTA Trilogy is half price, bringing its price down to $29.99 for a limited time.
  • Tears Of The Kingdom, Red Dead Redemption, and Unicorn Overlord are also among the many games currently available for less on Switch.

Black Friday is such a big deal that even Nintendo can’t resist cutting the prices of some of its games. It’s even hopped aboard the bandwagon and joined everywhere else that has started its sales before Black Friday is even here as the Nintendo eShop’s sale is already live. There are some very big games that rarely get discounts available for less right now too, including Tears Of The Kingdom and Grand Theft Auto’s remastered trilogy.

Tears Of The Kingdom might not be Nintendo’s newest Zelda game anymore, but it’s still a very new tentpole Switch game. It’s also the first, and still only, Switch game to launch at $70, but you’ll pay a lot less than that if you pick it up between now and Cyber Monday. Tears Of The Kingdom is right at the top of the eShop’s Cyber Deals page as it’s currently available for only $49.99.

Rockstar has been making a lot of improvements to the remastered trilogy in the three years since its release to the point that it’s actually a pretty great way to play the iconic GTA games on modern platforms, even on Switch.

Rockstar has a big presence in Nintendo’s Black Friday Switch sale as Red Dead Redemption is also available for less. Just $34.99 for Red Dead’s Switch port and unlike most of the other games in the sale, both it and the GTA Trilogy will remain at their sale prices beyond Cyber Monday. The games will be discounted for an additional three days which means even if you aren’t reading this until after Cyber Monday (where have you been?) it might not be too late.

The holidays do tend to be about catching up with games you’ve missed, and if that’s what you’ve got planned for the next month or so, Nintendo also has a few 2024 games on sale that you might have skipped over in favor of other titles. Epic Mickey Rebrushed got overshadowed due to launching during a busy period and is 30 percent off on Switch. You can also get Unicorn Overlord for less which deserves flowers it didn’t really get due to how many very good, but very long, RPGs have been released this year.
