Fortnite’s gearing up for something huge, the launch of Chapter 6 of the game. This new start will see a fresh map, weapons, but we’ve started getting confirmation of individual features coming to the Battle Pass too. Including a Fortnite Godzilla collab hitting the game.
The recently released key art for Fortnite Chapter 6 has confirmed quite a few of the early leaks. From the Japanese theme to some of the items like masks. One skin that just seems to raise more questions is the Fortnite Godzilla collab.
This giant creature is coming with the new season. The last time Fortnite did a Japanese-themed season, we saw a Godzilla-lite skin. A smaller guy with clear inspiration from the monster. However, we’ll be getting him as a proper collab in-game. What can we actually expect from a Godzilla collab and how will the skin work?
Fortnite Godzilla Skin Coming to Chapter 6
Fortnite Chapter 6 is taking inspiration from Japan, from Oni-masks through to Godzilla showing up. The key art for the season reveals the character in quite a fun-looking design. But what exactly will he be? From how the character is lined up, it does seem like he will be a skin included in Chapter 6.
That begs the question of how he’ll be handled in-game. Godzilla feels too big. Although, we’ve seen a shrunk-down Optimus Prime before, so Godzilla could be included too. We could see him pushing how Fortnite hitboxes look, similar to the Giant Chicken. The skin might be chunkier, but since it’s a fun collab character it might get plenty of play still.
Godzilla could also be a factor on the map. We got bosses pretty much every season now, and having Godzilla as a kind of raid boss on the map would be a fun way to include him too. The skin is apparently called Godzilla evolved, and will be part of Chapter 6 Season 1.
We’re expecting the Fortnite Godzilla collab to be revealed in full when the new season launches. We won’t know exactly what form the Fortnite collab ill have until then, at the start of December.
