Dr Disrespect is Officially Joining Rumble

Key Takeaways

  • Dr Disrespect has moved to Rumble and will have equity in the company.
  • The streamer is already gaining followers on Rumble.
  • Dr Disrespect is embracing the move to Rumble.

The rumors flying around Dr Disrespect were true: the YouTube streamer is joining Rumble. The popular streamer has a live page on Rumble, and it is final that it will be his new streaming home after losing the ability to monetize on YouTube. The streamer has also released information that he will have equity in the company, making him a co-owner.

Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, known best by his streaming handle Dr Disrespect, has had a tumultuous last few years. After being banned from Twitch in 2020, his channel was demonetized on YouTube and removed from its Partner Program in June 2024. It came out that the massive streamer had allegedly been in contact with a minor in his Twitch DMs, sending “inappropriate” messages and attempting a meet up with them at TwitchCon. So it was most likely just a matter of time before Dr Disrespect would need to find a new platform for his channel.

Despite the recent controversies with the popular streamer, new data suggests that fans are still donating thousands of dollars to Dr Disrespect.

Rumble has accepted the streamer with open arms, with Chris Pavlovski excitedly tweeting that a “Big creator” was “incoming,” bringing a bunch of new people to the platform. On November 25, 2024, Beahm sent a message to his followers through social media: “Truly grateful for the opportunity to help grow a new, hungry platform that represents the type of values I’m aligned with. No more cancel culture, no more suppression. Let’s get back to what I’ve always been about… having fun!” This message included the hashtag #RumbleTakeover.

Dr Disrespect Talks About Move to Rumble

The move to Rumble for the streamer is seen by some as unsurprising. With Dr Disrespect no longer being able to monetize his content on YouTube in spite of being one of its biggest streamers, it’s no wonder he’s been in search of a more lucrative contract. And it looks like he found one with Rumble, a video-sharing platform that claims to be “immune to cancel culture” and “on a mission to protect a free and open internet.” Not only will he be able to monetize his content again, but he’ll also be getting equity with the company, making him a partner of the platform. Even though this contract does seem to have exclusivity for his content, Disrespect most likely has few other options at the time of writing.

Currently, it looks as though Dr Disrespect is already stacking up new fans in his new location; without a single stream or video, Beahm already has more than 16,000 followers. In addition, he only announced his move early this morning. While other big sites don’t seem willing to take him, including the up-and-coming Kick that Dr Disrespect was in talks with back in August of last year, it looks like the Doc might finally have a stable, monetized home for his video game streams again.
