Gameloft has revealed a major update on “high priority” issues following the launch of the Storybook Vale expansion pass for Disney Dreamlight Valley. This expansion pass was released on November 20 for Disney Dreamlight Valley, and its release was somewhat controversial due to players not receiving their early purchase bonuses.
In the Storybook Vale expansion pass, Disney Dreamlight Valley players travel to the Vale, a world that was torn by conflict between Maleficent and Hades, with the guidance of the Lorekeeper. Three new Biomes are explorable with secrets to uncover, and each Biome has a fully customizable layout to decorate with exclusive furniture. Before launch, Disney Dreamlight Valley players excited about the new expansion were able to purchase The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition to receive Moonstones and other useful items as a pre-order bonus. However, these bonuses were not properly distributed on launch day, and players encountered various in-game bugs. An investigation into these issues is underway, and Gameloft plans to release a major update to solve some of the expansion’s problems.

The official Twitter account for Disney Dreamlight Valley shared a status update for the team’s investigation into the issues affecting players in The Storybook Vale, confirming the new “Sew Delightful” update will fix multiple “high priority” issues on December 4. Firstly, the developers are still investigating an issue that prevents some players from accessing their early purchase bonuses for The Storybook Vale, so a fix to the expansion pass was not confirmed for the December 4 update. Instead, the Sew Delightful update will bring major fixes to quest progression blockers for the “Archery and Archrivals” and “The Company of the Wolf” quests, Inkies, and item spawns.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Sew Delightful Update Will Fix “High Priority” Issues on December 4
- The update will fix quest progression blockers for the Archery and Archrivals and The Company of the Wolf quests, Inkies, and item spawns.
- Gameloft is still investigating issues involving early purchase bonuses for The Storybook Vale.
Some players have been unable to progress through Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Archery and Archrivals quest due to missing posters and Villager dialogue not triggering. Moreover, The Company of the Wolf has a bug that causes buried items and dig spots to spawn on surfaces that players can’t reach or interact with. Some items from The Storybook Vale are also spawning in inaccessible locations, and Inkies that were removed were not contributing toward duty and achievement progress due to another bug.
Despite some of the issues affecting The Storybook Vale, many players in the Disney Dreamlight Valley community are happy with the content available in the expansion pass. Some players are still critical of Gameloft since they’re encountering glitches and bugs with some quests, but it appears that the player community is mostly hopeful and patient for the new update and other fixes in the near future.
