Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has wasted absolutely no time, with its first season of post-launch content already in full swing. Mere weeks after the game’s initial release, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 added new multiplayer maps, new games modes, and new Call of Duty: Warzone content. And unlike with last year’s Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6 Season 1 doesn’t forget about its Zombies mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 has already added the long-awaited Directed Mode to Zombies, letting newcomers experience a more guided way to earn Terminus and Liberty Falls’ main Easter eggs. Season 1’s mid-season update is also set to bring an onslaught of new content to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Zombies mode, with the biggest addition being the new Citadelle des Morts map and its accompanying new Wonder Weapon and enemy type. But that’s not all. According to the official Season 1 roadmap, Black Ops 6‘s Zombies mode will also receive “an additional Perk-a-Cola.” This particular phrasing makes it sound like a classic Perk could be returning, as opposed to a brand-new Perk being introduced, and there are some obvious picks waiting in the wings.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies’ Season 1 Perk Has Four Likely Contenders
A Handful of Perks Have Already Been Leaked for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Over the last few weeks or so, a number of leaks have started to appear regarding Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies‘ upcoming new Perk. Fans should take these leaks with a very hefty pinch of salt as it’s also been rumored these data-mined Perks could simply be cut content from the game’s initial launch. That being said, there are five Perks currently rumored to appear in Black Ops 6:
- Vulture Aid
- Double Tap
- Mule Kick
- Death Perception
- Tombstone
Introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Vulture Aid has appeared on just one Zombies map, which is a surprise given its abilities. In its one and only appearance, Vulture Aid granted the player the ability to see wall weapons, the Pack-a-Punch machine, and the Mystery Box through walls. Zombies would also occasionally drop small ammo pouches worth around 10% of the equipped weapon’s magazine, as well as bonus points and green clouds of gas that would allow the player to be temporarily ignored by zombies.
Double Tap used to be a staple of Call of Duty Zombies, but it hasn’t been seen since Black Ops 3. The original iteration of Double Tap simply increased the player’s rate-of-fire, but its improved 2.0 version in Black Ops 2 and 3 also allowed the player’s weapon to fire two rounds for the price of one, essentially doubling a weapon’s damage. Mule Kick is another staple Call of Duty Zombies Perk, with it allowing players to equip a third weapon.
A much more recent addition to the roster, Death Perception is widely regarded as one of the weakest Perks in Call of Duty Zombies, with it simply granting the player the ability to see zombies through walls. Tombstone is a similarly divisive Perk, albeit an objectively more useful one, as it allows players to pick up their Perks and weapons after death.
The new Zombies Perk will also be added to Liberty Falls and Terminus via the Wunderfizz machine.
But only one Perk is set to appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 1. While it would be nice to see Vulture Aid make its triumphant return after all these years, Double Tap and Mule Kick would arguably be the much more useful picks for a new Season 1 Perk.
