When it comes to Hades in Disney Dreamlight Valley, or in any Disney title that he is encountered in, it is clear that he believes he is in charge and wants everyone to know it. Yet when it comes to more mundane tasks, Hades proves to have a tougher time handling them. This is exactly what his second friendship quest focuses on, as he tries to show off his management skills to you and the rest of the villagers.
In order to unlock “Yes, Your Lugubriousness”, Hades will need to be at least Level Four. In addition, you must also have unlocked Flynn, Ursula, Mother Gothel, and Vanellope. As far as biomes go, you will also need to have unlocked the Fiery Plains and the Wild Woods.

Scottish Porridge is one of the new Disney Dreamlight Valley recipes added in the Storybook Vale expansion. Here’s how to make it!
Talk to Remy
Naturally, Remy is a little wary about trusting his restaurant to Hades even just for the day. However, with you there supervising, he feels better about taking a little time off. But before that, he tasks you with gathering ingredients that will be needed for Greek cuisine.
For this quest step, you must gather the following items:
- Two Elysian Grain
- Two Olives
- Two Ambrosia
- Two Stygian Mudskippers
- Two Salt Crystals
If you already have these resources stashed away in a chest, you can pull them out and get credit. In addition, if you already have some of these items in your inventory, you will be good to go.
When you have gathered all the ingredients, find Hades and talk to him. He will be eager to start his temporary gig at the restaurant.
Check On Hades
When you are ready to continue, go to Chez Remy. Vanellope is not impressed with Hades’ cooking, and this subsequently causes a series of grease fires to spread all over the restaurant. Equip your Royal Shovel and get rid of all seven flames to proceed.
After you are done, speak with Hades. He’s not a fan of listening to what others think, so it is time to try something different.
Dress Up
Before Hades begins his next scheme, you will need to change your outfit to make yourself look like a salesperson. You can wear whatever you want as long as it matches the following criteria:
As an example, the image depicted above fits the criteria for this quest. It will be enough even if just one or two items match all three criteria. If you are struggling with this step, check the Requests section of your Wardrobe. When you are satisfied with your outfit, find Flynn and Hades. Listen to the conversation between them and then talk to Hades.
Go to Ursula’s House
Ursula promised Hades payment, but it is at her house. Head to wherever you put Ursula’s home and go inside. Near the mirror on the right, you will see a note on the ground. Interact with the note and then head to the Bind in Storybook Vale.
Based on the clue that Ursula provided, look for orange ripples along the coast of the east side of the Bind. Keep fishing from these circles until you get Hades’ payment, a “Fire Suppression Potion”. Bring the fire extinguisher to Hades.
Talk to Scrooge
Despite getting completely outplayed by Ursula, Hades is not ready to give up yet. Head to Scrooge’s store with Hades and talk to Scrooge. He’s not keen on the idea of having Hades run the shop but feels better as long as you are there to prevent any further incidents involving fire.
Approach Hades and then watch his interaction with Mother Gothel. When that goes poorly, use the Royal Watering Can to put on the fires. After that, listen to Scrooge as he finds out about the incident. Finally, leave Scrooge’s store and talk to Hades to complete this friendship quest.
