Wandance Anime to Be Released in 2025 on Disney+

A new anime, Wandance, is set to be released in 2025 on Disney+. The anime is based on the manga by Coffee which has been serialized in Monthly Afternoon Magazine since January 2019, with a total of 12 volumes. The manga follows Kotani Kaboku as he becomes interested in Wanda Hikari, who is all about the world of dance. To get closer to her, he joins the dance club at his high school.

Just like in the manga, the Wandance anime will show Kotani Kaboku as he begins his journey in the school’s dance club as a first-year. He is incredibly introverted and keeps to himself, not stirring up too much attention when with his friends. He seeks to lose these chains after joining the dance club with Wanda Hikari, looking to be more free and dance like no one is watching.

The new anime doesn’t currently have an exact release date, but will be coming to Disney+ in 2025, as announced on the official Wandance X account, while being produced by Madhouse and Cyclone Graphics. Along with these two powerhouses, a well-known and popular dancer and choreographer, Riehata, will be contributing to the show as the dance producer. She is known for working with popular Korean artists such as BTS and Red Velvet, as well as Japanese artists like EXILE, Nissy, and much more.

Along with this new information, some fresh key art has been released to give fans a taste of what is to come in the Wandance anime. The illustration clearly features both Kotani Kaboku, as well as Wanda Hikari, in their school outfits on a yellow and pink background. The key art also seems to depict them in the middle of a dance routine, since the two of them will both be in the dance club at their high school.

This news is guaranteed to bring a lot of excitement from fans of the Wandance manga, which has been popular in the Monthly Afternoon publication, as well as through Comic Days and ComiXology. Many are excited to see the dynamic dance routines brought to life, and the characters portrayed on the screen.
