Key Takeaways
- Player reached Level 70 in Skyrim’s starting area, making Sneak Legendary 11 times, potentially making the game harder.
- The entire grinding process took around seven hours in total.
- Using fast leveling tricks in Skyrim can backfire by making combat too difficult due to scaling enemies.
A dedicated Skyrim player online has managed to reach Level 70 without ever leaving the game’s starting area. It’s not just this, though – they’ve even made Sneak a Legendary Skyrim kill 11 times over, which could make the game harder in the long run.
There are plenty of Skyrim tricks for fast leveling, but the way that the game is designed, using these can actually make it more challenging to complete. Enemy level is tied to the player’s level, and the higher damage they deal is supposed to be negated by the player finding better loot over the course of the game. By cheesing levels early on through grinding non-combat skills, players can unintentionally make combat encounters near-impossible to win, unless they stumble across some high-level loot extremely fast. Regardless of the outcome, it’s always interesting to see how players manage to level so quickly in Skyrim.

For Some Reason, a Skyrim Player is Building a Mountain Out of Junk
A dedicated Skyrim player online is creating a bizarre mountain of junk, collecting tons of in-game items to bring their idea to life.
Redditor bogthebog shared a clip from their current Skyrim playthrough, where they are still in the starting area. After escaping Helgen, they’re near the end of the caves just before being released into the wide world of Skyrim. Opening their skill tree, they have managed to reach Level 70 in this area while also making Sneak a Skyrim Legendary skill 11 times over. In this area, players shouldn’t expect to be any higher than Level 2, even while killing everything in the process. It’s absurd that they’ve managed to reach this level at such an early stage of the game.
Skyrim Player Reaches Level 70 in the Starting Area
According to bogthebog, the entire grinding process took around seven hours. They were able to get 100 Two-Handed by repeatedly attacking Hadvar, as he doesn’t aggro on the player. Sneak is a similar process, attacking Hadvar while sneaking instead. Sneak is one of the easiest skills to level up in Skyrim, and the fact that they’ve managed to reach 100 in it 11 times already is a testament to that.
It’s quite remarkable how active Skyrim‘s community remains over 13 years after its initial launch. The game has experienced nowhere near the level of fatigue one might expect from a game of its age. Despite this, there’s certainly a growing desire in the community for The Elder Scrolls 6, which has largely gone quiet since being announced back in 2018. It remains one of the upcoming RPGs gamers are most excited about, and with Starfield well out of the way for Bethesda, hopefully, the studio will be hard at work on the next Elder Scrolls installment.
