The developers of Marvel Rivals are currently polling fans to see which classic comic book characters they would like to play as in the upcoming hero shooter title. Marvel Rivals will finally launch in full on December 6, with plenty of buzz already being generated thanks to the closed alpha and beta tests done earlier this year. Marvel Rivals takes its premise from games like Overwatch and Apex Legends, offering up a full roster of heroes and villains with their own special attacks and abilities.
As of this writing, there are 28 confirmed playable characters in Marvel Legends, with developer NetEase Games promising upwards of 33 throughout its launch window. Some of the most recent Marvel Rivals roster confirmations include Moon Knight, who can slice through enemies with his crescent darts and Moon Blades, and Hawkeye, who naturally switches between picking opponents off from a distance with trick arrows and taking them out at close range with a sword.

How Marvel Rivals’ Hawkeye Could Fit in The Game’s Meta
Marvel Rivals recently revealed that Hawkeye is the next character to join the roster, and this is how the bow-wielding hero could fit into the game.
There is still plenty of room left in the base Marvel Rivals roster, and NetEase is currently running a poll to find out who players want in the game next. On the official Marvel Rivals Discord server (via TheGamer), users can vote between nine options including Wolverine, longtime X-Men villain-turned-team member Emma Frost, the Green Goblin, Black Bolt of the Inhumans, Ghost Rider, the ever-popular Deadpool, Thanos, Nightcrawler, and Gambit. There is also an option to suggest another character not included in this list.
Marvel Rivals Fans Are Voting For Possible Roster Additions
So far, the supernatural avenger Ghost Rider is taking the lead with 17% of the vote, with Deadpool (at 16%) and Gambit (at 15%) taking the second and third-place spots. Likewise, Wolverine and Nightcrawler are trailing closely behind at 12% and 11% respectively, while Black Bolt takes the unfortunate last place at a mere 3%. The emphasis on X-Men characters in this line-up is likely due to the recent success of X-Men ’97 and Deadpool and Wolverine, both of which were released to much praise earlier this year.
All of these characters are fairly popular and have special abilities that would make them fun to play as in Marvel Rivals, which is already notable for featuring a mix of big-name characters and more recent Marvel additions. With over a week before the full launch of Marvel Rivals and 33 characters said to be playable during the game’s early days, the next new roster announcement could come very soon.
