How To Use Beerus In Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

It’s no surprise that Dragon Ball is littered with many powerful beings, capable of destroying entire planets. Even less surprising is Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, implementing most of these characters into the game whilst keeping them as powerful as they are in the series.

Beerus In Versus And Online Matches

A screen displaying Beerus' character stats in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

Beerus, being a God, boasts extremely high stats, which places him at the top of the charts in terms of power. Due to him being so powerful, his DP cost is a whopping 10 points, limiting your options in team battles. Despite the high DP cost, Beerus alone is enough to take on many fighters if played right.

His Sleep skill is an extremely powerful part of his kit. It allows you to maintain your sustainability during fights by healing yourself substantially.

After launching your opponent at the end of a combo, activate sleep as early as possible, as the healing only happens after a few seconds.

Keep in mind that using this skill
will drain practically all of your Skill Points
, which could be better used for countering or his second skill.

Breaking the line of sight and putting something between you and your opponent can give you more security when using Sleep.

Verdict of Destruction is a skill that costs one less Skill Point than his previous skill and will instantly put you into Sparking Mode. Sparking Mode is where Beerus’ damage reaches its peak, using a barrage of both melee and basic Ki Blasts to pepper your opponent before hitting them with a special or ultimate attack.

Beerus has access to one rush and two blast Special Moves. Sphere of Destruction fires a very quick projectile at the opponent and will track them in the event they try to move away.

This can be used at the end of a combo launcher, but it is best used to deny the opponent from charging Ki at range. Hakai Headshot is used to end your combos as it deals much more damage and is less likely to be avoided and punished.

If the
opponent is grounded
after a combo,
Sphere of Destruction should be used
as there is a high chance Hakai Headshot will miss completely.

Super Sphere of Destruction is the most powerful move in Beerus’ kit, and for good reason. Upon activation, he creates a giant sphere that is near impossible to avoid and is completely unblockable. As mentioned previously, during Sparking Mode, barrage your opponent with a mix of melee attacks and basic Ki Blasts before unleashing the ultimate.

Landing the ultimate will cause the opponent to lose sight of you, unlocking them for a short period of time. Use this opportunity to use your Sleep skill to regain some of your health safely before they can find you.
