While there are many things to spend Yen on in Persona 5 Royal, late-game fusion using the Twin’s perk that lets you fuse Personas of any level will easily cost a few hundred thousand yen just for fusing on Persona.
Even later in the game, you’ll always need more Yen, and while it’s earned anytime you defeat a shadow, the base values will rarely be enough. While it may take a bit of setting up, there is one method that can easily get players a few million yen with just a few minutes of grinding; here’s how to do it.

Setting Up To Farm Yen In Persona 5 Royal
While this method can be used without the setup, doing the things listed below will help you greatly increase the amount of Yen you will earn:
- Reach Rank 3 Of Yoshida’s confidant to unlock Fundraising and Diplomacy.
- Rank up the Money earned cognition in Mementos using stamps with Jose.
- Have a Persona with multiple tier-one spells covering multiple elements, preferably obtained using Skill Cards.
You’ll also want a few SP restoration items before going into Mementos, as the only thing really holding back the total Yen you can get is your maximum SP.

It’s important to manage one’s time in Persona 5 Royal accordingly. Here are some ways players can maximize the time they spend in the game.
How To Farm Yen Fast In Persona 5 Royal
With every above setup, go into Mementos and find a floor where you can easily knock down most of the Shadows either with your party or the weak spells from Joker. Once all enemies have been knocked down, interrogate them and ask them for money, repeatedly asking thanks to Yoshida’s Diplomacy ability. After a few attempts, the shadow will get mad and stand up, but you can just knock them down and repeat the process as many times as possible before the shadow finally dies.
When asking for more money in the same interrogation, you can only get the same amount of Yen repeatedly. Once the Shadow stands up and gets knocked down again, beginning a new interrogation, a new amount of Yen will be given. The amount of Yen is randomly decided and even if it’s a small amount keep asking for more because there is no penalty for trying as many times as possible.
With the cognition boost from Jose, the total will be scaled to that additional percentage once the battle is finished. This process can be a bit tedious, but it guarantees a large return, earning millions of yen if you devote 15 or 20 minutes to the process.
This process can also be done
in any Palace
, but Mementos offers a percentage boost from Jose.
