Spider-Man made his Fortnite debut in the Chapter 3 Season 1 battle pass. The pass featured his classic red and blue outfit as well as his symbiote suit and the Future Foundation suit. Combined with the web shooter mythic and the Daily Bugle POI, Spider-Man’s arrival in Fortnite was a huge hit with fans.
While the original Spider-Man skin was a battle pass exclusive, Fortnite has released multiple variant Spider-Man skins in the years since. Spider-Gwen was the collab skin in Chapter 3 Season 4’s battle pass, while other skins like Spider-Man (No Way Home), Spider-Man Zero, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), and Spider-Man 2099 were released to Fortnite‘s item shop. The two most recent Spider-Man skins — Iron Spider and Spider-Woman — came out earlier this year during the Marvel-themed Chapter 5 Season 4. Since Spider-Man cosmetics continue to do well in Fortnite, Epic is supposedly preparing to add even more versions of Spider-Man to the game in the near future.

Fortnite Leak Reveals New Chapter 6 POI
A leak for Fortnite’s upcoming Chapter 6 shows off a new Point of Interest that aligns with the theming that’s been rumored so far.
Fortnite’s Rumored Return to the Spider-Verse
Popular leaker ShiinaBR shared a post on X claiming that three new Marvel skins could be on their way to Fortnite. In addition to a Doctor Doom 2099 skin based on the character’s upcoming appearance in Marvel Rivals, two new Spider-Man skins might be coming to Fortnite. These will supposedly include Spider-Man Noir and Peter Parker. With Epic Games itself showcasing Marvel Rivals‘ Doctor Doom 2099 design in a post discussing the collab, the credibility of ShinnaBR’s source has gone up.
The Spider-Man Noir and Peter Parker skins will likely be the versions of those characters from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. While Spider-Man Noir does have a live-action TV series in the works at Prime Video, Fortnite has already added skins like Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), and Spider-Man 2099 from the Spider-Verse series. Spider-Man Noir and Peter B. Parker were fan favorite characters from the original Spider-Verse film, so it makes sense that Fortnite would bring them in to round out their collection of skins from the series.
What to Expect From Both Spider-Verse Skins
Spider-Man Noir is — as his name suggests — a Spider-Man variant heavily inspired by film noir. Spider-Man Noir still possesses the typical Spider-Man abilities but is a grizzled detective originating from an alternate universe set in the 1930s. Much like everything else in his universe, Spider-Man Noir is portrayed with a black-and-white filter — minus the Rubix Cube he stole from the first movie, which would make for a perfect back bling in Fortnite.
Peter B. Parker is much closer to the typical portrayal of Spider-Man. However, after some failed investments and a falling out with Mary Jane, this version of Spider-Man ended up in a rut. Single, cynical, and disheveled, Peter B. Parker had completely given up on his dreams until Miles Morales helped to realign his priorities and reignite his passion. Unlike Spider-Man Noir, Peter B. Parker has multiple outfits that could appear in Fortnite. There’s his regular Spider-Man costume, his sweatpants look from Into the Spider-Verse, and his bathrobe outfit from Across the Spider-Verse.
These Spider-Verse skins have no release date and have yet to be officially confirmed, but this leak already has plenty of fans excited. It could be argued that Fortnite is focusing a little too much on Spider-Man cosmetics. There are already seven variants of the character present in the game at this time, while popular Marvel heroes like the Fantastic Four have yet to receive any skins. On the other hand, since anyone who didn’t get the Chapter 3 Season 1 battle pass will never get to play as the classic Spider-Man, adding all these new Spider-Man skins helps to make up for the FOMO of newer players. It also benefits Fortnite, as Spider-Man is one of the few Marvel characters who seem to be unaffected by the ongoing superhero fatigue in pop culture.
