Posted on Reddit by mattQW, a GIF was shared in the Fallout subreddit animating a fantastic LEGO build of the Mr. Handy robot. The machine’s rotating tentacle base is one of the main features, and the creator revealed it was a custom build refined by QnadianBacon on Rebrickable. Obtaining Mr. Handy in Fallout Shelter is light work, but building the robot from custom bricks is impressive. Since it’s Mr. Gutsy that typically has a plasma gun for a hand, the creator noted they added the gun for a “pop of color,” and instead had Mr. Handy gripping the gun with its pincer.

Fallout Fan Builds Custom Mr. Handy Figure Out of LEGO

Several Redditors were interested in building Mr. Handy for themselves, so the creator guided their first endeavor into custom LEGO orders via BrickLink. Earlier in the year, another Fallout fan shared their attempt at a LEGO Mr. Handy, which included the robot’s signature bowler hat. Luckily, the present Mr. Handy creator noted their build was missing the garment and tagged an alternative BrickLink design for the hat.

Developed by General Atomics International and tailored by RobCo Industries, the popular Mister Handies were used by the government, private business elites, and United States citizens before the Great War in Fallout lore. Mr. Handy was marketed as a general-purpose construction and maintenance unit, and later models from the 2070s boasted a sophisticated and reliable piece of tech capable of performing complex tasks and self-programming. There’s plenty of fascinating Fallout trivia to learn about Mr. Handy, including the in-game actor behind the robot’s voice Sebastian Leslie, who previously played the butler Bartholomew Codsworth.
