Fallout 76’s Gleaming Depths update this December will be making major changes to SPECIAL perk cards that players may want to prepare for.
Treasure Hunter Weekends
Special legendary Treasure Hunter Mole Miners can spawn at any outdoor location during this event, carrying Treasure Pails that have exclusive rewards. Players can also purchase craftable versions of the Treasure Pails from most NPC vendors.
Mutated Public Events
This event brings some of the Mutation difficulty modifiers from Daily Ops to Public Events at the beginning of every hour, increasing their difficulty while also improving their rewards. In Fallout 76’s Season 19, the variety of Mutated Public Events will now include Project Paradise and Distinguished Guests. Completing these Events will reward players with a Mutated Package; if at least 3 Fallout 1st subscribers are present, they will instead reward a Mutated Party Pack, potentially featuring rare plans, Mutation Serums, ammo, and Stimpaks.
Caps-A-Plenty, Gold Rush, and Scrip Surplus
Throughout these separate events, players will be able to earn twice the amount of the daily limit for select currencies. Players won’t earn double rewards from every exchange during these events. Instead, players will be able to make twice as many transactions.
Double Mutations
The Daily Ops activity will have twice the amount of Mutation difficulty modifiers, while some of the rewards will also be doubled. This activity is generally recommended for max-level players in Fallout 76 since it requires players to complete it within a strict time limit to get the best rewards.
Holiday Scorched Event
During this event, players can hunt down legendary Scorched wearing festive costumes at any locations where Scorched naturally spawn for some special presents that contain exclusive rewards. Players can also get Holiday Scorched presents by purchasing craftable versions from NPC vendors, and a Santa Collectron will be available in Fallout 76’s Atomic Shop for free that will produce presents when built in a CAMP or Workshop.
Legendary Vendor Sale and Murmrgh’s Special Pick
These two events feature special deals from the legendary vendor at the Rusty Pick in Fallout 76, Murmrgh. During the legendary vendor sale, all of Murmrgh’s inventory will be available at a 25% discount, and for Murmrgh’s Special Pick, a mystery box will be available for 60 Legendary Scrip that features a random three-star legendary weapon or armor piece.
Fasnacht
Fasnacht is a Public Event in Fallout 76 that begins at the start of every hour, inspired by the real-world holiday of the same name. This in-game event tasks players with helping the local robots prepare some festivities, marching in a parade, and then burning Old Man Winter in a bonfire to mark the changing of the seasons.
