That was already plenty of Shadow the Hedgehog goodness, but it was also revealed a few months ago that those two worlds were going to collide in a special bit of “Movie Pack” DLC for Sonic X Shadow Generations. Revealed during PlayStation’s last State of Play, the expansion gives Shadow his look and Keanu Reeves voice from the movie for a level that’s unique to him.

Sonic X Shadow Generations Movie Pack Release Date And Price Revealed

When the Movie Pack DLC was first announced, we weren’t given a price or any information about the timing of its launch, beyond Sega saying that it’d be free for Digital Deluxe owners and would arrive close to the movie’s December 21 release date. Well, we’re getting a lot closer to that date now, and it seems that Nintendo has decided to put everyone’s anticipation to an end.

As spotted by Twitter user TailsChannel, the Movie Pack DLC for Sonic X Shadow Generations just went live on the Nintendo eShop, revealing when we can expect it to launch. According to the listing, fans will get to play as Keanu Reeves’ Shadow on December 12 and will have to pay $5.99 if they don’t have the Digital Deluxe version of the game.

Although it’s possible that the date and price is wrong, it’s so oddly specific and comes from a trusted source that it’s very likely to be correct.

We already knew that the DLC pack would only contain one level based on the movie, but the low price does seem to suggest that it won’t be a very long one. Here’s hoping that it has the base game’s penchant for alternative paths and great level design to make it worth replaying over and over again.
