Samsung mobile cloud gaming platform has already shown great results

Samsung rolled out its game streaming service on October 5, 2023, in a beta phase. The service launched through the Samsung Game Launcher, allowing Galaxy phone users to stream games instantly. The launch was aimed to boost ad revenue and recover from declining game-install-ad profits. This move also supported increased sales of Samsung mobile devices.

For now, it includes 23 popular titles to experience, all free to play without subscriptions or extra costs. You can access games through ads, the Galaxy Store, or the Gaming Hub. This new system skips the usual long setup process, making it easier for you to start playing right away.

Samsung says this platform will help game publishers reach more players and reduce costs. It works with existing in-game purchases, making it simple for publishers to use. Thanks to the cloud technology, even mid-range Galaxy devices can handle these games smoothly. The platform works with Android APKs, offers a cloud-based attribution solution with major measurement partners, and supports in-game purchases.

Coming to some stats, the mobile cloud gaming beta showed great results, with 50% of users starting a game immediately after clicking, which is ten times better than the industry average. With a 149% increase in active users during testing in the United States and Canada, Samsung’s cloud gaming platform has already shown success in reaching more audiences.

Cloud Gaming is slowly rising in popularity, as it offers plenty of opportunities to have games across multiple platforms. Samsung’s announcement followed the news of Xbox Cloud Gaming allowing members to stream select titles they own, so there seems to be a competition among the giants to bring the best out of their respective platforms, and hope it continues.
