MrBeast has appeared in an interview with YouTuber oompaville, addressing the numerous allegations made against him and his business. This includes his snack line, Lunchly, which numerous influencers and social media users have reported finding mold in.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, rejects that there is a “serious problem” with the product. He affirms that Lunchly has received regulator approval for sale, and says that there is no mold in the products when they leave the factory they are made in.
MrBeast Addresses Lunchly Mold Scandal In Oompaville Interview
When the topic is brought up at around the 1:49:00 mark, Donaldson starts by mentioning the unsubstantiated claims that Lunchly is being recalled.
“That makes it seem like there’s an actual serious problem,” he says. “Every single Lunchly with cheese [and] meat is USDA inspected. There is no mold when it leaves our factory […] Why would we ship that out? That doesn’t even make sense.”
Donaldson adds that he has the “best experts in the world” assisting him with Lunchly production.

Lunchly’s are the trio’s Lunchables competitor, aimed squarely at profiting off impressionable children.
He also says that a brand that is “very similar” to Lunchly – likely Lunchables – has its own issue with mold in its products. “Google their name and put the word ‘mold’ behind it. You’ll see thousands upon thousands of examples. And that, I think, is a key context a lot of people leave out in this because they’re acting like this is just a thing with us.
“Once it leaves your factory, a truck that’s delivering it could take a sharp turn and a box falls and punctures the seal,” he continues. “Or honestly, even something as dumb as when it’s put on the shelves a the store, I can’t stop someone from walking to Walmart and grabbing a Lunchly, going to the potato chip aisle and putting it there […] there are variables that we just can’t control.”

Donaldson also dismisses the number of claims that mold is being found in the products as a “couple of examples here and there”, and says that it is “very rare” when it does happen.
Of course, this is far from the only controversy surrounding Donaldson right now, or even the most severe. Elsewhere in the interview, Donaldson brings up the possibility of suing YouTuber DogPack404 for defamation, after he accused him of running illegal, rigged lotteries and giveaways, and staging his videos. Donaldson also recently fired several employees after an investigation into his company found evidence of workplace harassment and “inappropriate conduct”.
