The gadgets and rare weapons you can find will be completely different to the basic options. They can explode, freeze enemies, or even summon a hot dog cart that throws bombs. In the hardest fights in the game, some of the better weapons are a must have.
How To Get All Gadgets
You’ll start getting gadgets from the beginning of the game. They can drop from defeated enemies or be found in chests hidden around the world.
All gadgets can be used by all characters.
However, there’s a point in most missions where you’ll encounter a merchant with three chests. In each of those chests you’ll find a rare weapon or gadget. They’re not guaranteed to be for the character you’re using, so you may not actually get three choices for yourself.
To unlock all of the gadgets, you simply need to progress through the game’s story. You’ll unlock the gadgets in the order in the table below.

How To Get All Rare Weapons
There are more rare weapons to find than gadgets, but only five can be used by each character. They’re found and unlocked in the same way as gadgets, dropping from enemies and chests.
Rather than being unlocked in an order, you’ll simply find them all at random times as you progress through the game, with the rare weapons for Erend coming last.
