Even early on in your adventures in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you’ll be inundated with side content, from missions to optional exploration points of interest to the various stashes scattered about every zone. You’ll even find stashes in the first area, the Lesser Zone, and they all hold valuable supplies that will help you survive in the nuclear wastes of the larger Zone.

Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl – How To Upgrade Weapons And Armor
If you want to get more damage and resistance in Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl, you’ll have to get some upgrades for your gear.
Lesser Zone and other stashes usually appear as minimap icons, but there are other unmarked ones you can find out in the wild, guarded by other humans or the mutant abominations. Discover all their locations here.
All Lesser Zone Stash Locations
There are 17 stashes to find in the Lesser Zone, some clearly marked as soon as you start your adventure in earnest, others you’ll discover as you continue your journey and by picking up PDAs.
You’ll know a stash by its appearance: a medium-sized backpack with a radioactivity patch near its bottom and a map marker that looks like a triangle symbol made up of three smaller triangles. They might also be kept in large, light blue colored chests or in brown duffle bags with a yellow stripe.
Most points of interest on the map, from buildings to fortresses and anything with a teardrop marker,
will have at least one stash hidden somewhere in their vicinity
, with larger complexes containing additional stashes and resources to plunder.
Unknown Stalker’s Stash Near The Post Office
The first stash you’ll likely be able to reach after the opening segment is the stash at the Office called the Unknown Stalker Stash. It is located on a rooftop on the eastern side of the collection of buildings.
To reach it, head to the blue pickup truck and jump onto its roof, then across to the roof of the building. You’ll find the stash nestled next to the chimney.
Gloomy’s Stash Near The Boiler House
Gloomy’s stash, located east of the Boiler House in the Magnetic Cave, is another early stash northeast of the Post Office. You’ll reach the place if you follow the road toward town.
Take out the enemies in the main building and head up to the second floor to find Gloomy, who you can parley with. When he mentions a detector, say that you already have one, and he’ll give you directions to his stash to the east.
There’s a cave entrance east of the boiler house, which you can open by destroying the wooden planking blocking the door.
Continue through the cave until you reach the large fire anomaly chamber. Here, you can pick up Gloomy’s Stash near the entrance of the chamber.
You can also
find the Eye artifact in the room
, guarded by flame vents.
Ordinary Stash In The Swamp Tank
Almost directly south of the Boiler House is a large, radioactive swamp. In the center of said swamp is a sunken APC.
One of the back hatches is open and houses the stash.
Little Stash In Zalissya
Zalissya is bound to be one of the more important stops on your adventures in Stalker 2, as you can’t progress the main quest without going there first, and it’s home to a storage chest, merchants, and a bed to pass time. It also holds the Little Stash in a house on the southeast side of town.
To reach it, head out the south gate near the firepit and turn right. You’ll see a pile of logs acting as an impromptu ramp up onto the roof of the shed.
Climb up the logs and take a quick right through the holes in the wall onto the loft of the broken-down barn to find the stash.

Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl – How To Fast Travel
The fast travel mechanic is quite restrictive in Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl, but you can still make use of it in some situations.
Fence’s Stash At The Dire Thicket
About 300 meters south of Zalissya is the Dire Thicket point of interest, and just southeast of that is a pair of stone hutches that cover holes. The easternmost one has a ladder leading down to a tunnel that leads to the stash, while the other is a sheer drop to the room with the stash.
You can survive the drop at full health, but it’s easier to take the ladder down. Either way, you’ll need to deal with a swarm of rats.
The rats are too numerous to kill individually, so look down the ladder, pull out a grenade, and chuck it into the swarm. Another will appear after a few minutes, but you’ll have free rein in the cellar for that time.
Unknown Stalker’s Stash Under The Sphere
The best time to grab this stash is as you escape after meeting Solder at the Sphere during Behind Seven Seals. You can get there earlier if you approach the Sphere from the north. Head to the northwestern edge of the compound and look for a large concrete opening going underneath the area.
The tunnel there is filled with anomaly acid, which you’ll need to maneuver through to reach the stash.
The stash itself is nested at the back of the tunnel behind a steel grate. You’ll be really close to an acid pool to pick it up, but you can get it without touching the acid.
Modest Stash Near The Fault
This stash is back near the area where you first entered the Zone at the very beginning of the game. You’re looking for a manmade hole in the ground made of concrete with three separators in it.
Take the sewer pipe in the southwestern part of the drain and follow it to your left. You’ll find the stash sitting against the wall at an intersection.
There’s also a flash drive next to the stash with a bit of lore attached.
Old Stash Near The Southern Wall
Reaching this stash can be tricky, as it’s hanging from an exposed rafter, and there’s no way to get it down.
Instead, you need to do a little platforming. One of the corners of the building is a section of broken wall that you can jump onto like a set of large stairs. Use them to jump onto the rafters.
Once on the side of the building, navigate your way across the beams and lean to collect the stash.
Elevator Roof Stash At Levitating Silo
Near the southern border of the Lesser Zone is a towering structure called the Levitating Silo. West of it is a small building where you’ll find a PDA detailing the whereabouts of a nearby stash.
To get to the stash, climb the ladder into the main silo area, then jump onto the boards across from the top of the ladder.
Make your way around to the stash on the roofing.
Rookie’s Stuff Stash At The Perimeter Decontamination Center
On the eastern edge of the southern border of the Lesser Zone is the Perimeter Decontamination Center, where you’ll find another stash.
You’re headed to a set of scaffolding in the southeast portion of the compound. Enter the building nearby, go upstairs, then scramble over the boards and claim the stash on the small piece of sheet metal.

Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl – 8 Beginner Tips
Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl is a huge game, and you’d want to know a few things before diving into it for a better experience.
Sheltered Stash At The Broken House
Directly west of Zalissya is a house that’s been torn in two by an anomaly.
To reach the stash, head to the higher side of the house, toss a bolt to diffuse the anomaly, and then jump across.
You’ll see the stash in the fireplace.
Missing Person’s Stash At The Water Tower
Just northwest of Zalyssia is a small complex with a tall water tower jutting into the sky.
As you might expect, the stash is on top of it.
Beware of the electric anomalies at the tower’s base.
Ordinary Stash At Radiation Hazard Sign Storage
Northeast of Zalissya is the Radiation Hazard Sign Storage facility. The stash here is on the roof of the long building on the east side.
Climb the ladder to reach the roof and both the stash and a free Aurora Gas Mask are yours.
Stash For A Rainy Day At Pol Depot
In the far northwest of the Lesser Zone is the Pol Depot, and in the northwestern corner of that compound is a staircase leading underground.
The stash is at the end of the hallway.
There’s also a multiperson dwelling to the right of the stash, and no one seems to be home at the moment, so that means no one can complain when you take everything not nailed down.
Poppy Field Stash
The Poppy Field is both a location and a quest, and there are actually two stashes to find here. You get the location of the southern one southeast of the field, where you’ll come across a pair of bandits fighting off mutants.
Kill the mutants and talk to the living bandit, then loot the dead one’s body for his PDA.
The PDA will reveal the stash is just to the northwest. Climb into the rafters of the shack and grab the loot.
Stalker’s Loot In Northern Poppy Fields
The Poppy Fields are a dangerous place, so keep to their eastern edge until you reach the water’s edge. The stash is nestled in the hillside facing the lake.
Unknown Stalker’s Stash At The Northern Checkpoint
To even access this stash, you need to complete the quest Beyond Seven Seals and get the Northern Checkpoint Key.
Use it to open the door of the building to the left of the checkpoint, then defuse the anomaly through the window with a bolt and jump through. Turn right and head up the stairs, diffusing the anomalies as you go.
You’ll need to jump up on some debris to reach the stash, which is a juicy one.
