In fact, even when it comes to her achievements on the battlefield, a lot of the fans fail to recognize her strength and don’t give her the credit that she deserves. In reality, Sakura is one of the mightiest in the Naruto series, and even in the Boruto series, she has continued to grow in terms of power. In fact, Sakura even has hidden abilities that hardly any fan knows about, which just goes to show that she’s gotten much stronger than ever before.

Sakura’s Power In Naruto Were Mesmerizing

  • Sakura Learned Medical Ninjutsu Under Tsunade
  • Sakura Awakened The Byakugou In The 4th Great Ninja War

In the Naruto series, Sakura’s power was primarily derived from her incredible medical ninjutsu. At the beginning of the series, Sakura was hardly useful in combat, and largely relied on those around her. Still, whenever she could, she used her mind incredibly well and helped her teammates in whichever way possible. But, things changed for Sakura around the timeskip, as she started to train under Tsunade. The training under her was absolutely intense, and, in these 2 and 1/2 years, Sakura learned a great deal of things from her. Sakura excelled as a medical ninjutsu master, but also as a combatant, since Tsunade believed that medics should be strong enough to support themselves independently on the battlefield, which is why Sakura’s strength needed to be improved as well.

Sakura ended up gaining monstrous strength, and her chakra control rose dramatically. This was highlighted very well by the author in her fight against Sasori, one of the most powerful individuals in the Akatsuki. Sakura’s planning was on an entirely different level in this fight and she had already taken precautions that allowed her to one-up him. Of course, Sakura also had help from Chiyo in this battle, and alone, she most likely would not have been able to defeat him. Despite that, it was still a major feat for Sakura, especially because she had proven herself on the battlefield.

Strength of a Hundred Seal - Misconceptions About Sakura Haruno

As Naruto continued, Sakura grew stronger as well, and in the Fourth Great Ninja War, she got the chance to shine dramatically when she reached the same level of power as the Fifth Hokage, eventually going on to surpass her. Sakura managed to awaken the Byakugou, and on top of that, summoned Katsuyu from the Shikkotsu Woods. This made her a true medical ninja and gave her enough power to stand in battle against the likes of the Ten Tails, and, to some extent, even Madara Uchiha.

Sakura’s Hidden Nature Transformations That Hardly Anyone Knows

Sakura Has Access To Three Elements

Fans know that most of the powers that Sakura wields in the original series. Her biggest strength in the Naruto series is, by far, the Byakugou, which, when unleashed, releases an extraordinary amount of chakra throughout her body, allowing Sakura to heal from any and all injuries, including even bisection, without forming any seals and do so automatically. In this form, Sakura is almost unstoppable in combat, but this was something she achieved at 17. It is important to note that she hasn’t stagnated ever since she achieved the power of the Byakugou, and has continued to grow and battle ever since then. At some point, Sakura even gained control over nature transformations, and the Boruto era is proof of that. It has been confirmed in the data books that as an adult, Sakura has access to three different nature transformations, as well as Yin and Yang release.

For those who do not know, Sakura has access to Earth Release, and it is incredibly important for her, given that she’s a close-range fighter and can incorporate this ability in her arsenal of weapons in many ways. Of course, she hasn’t received an opportunity to use them, but that certainly does not mean that she can’t. Sakura is also a user of Water Release, and this power most likely aids her when she is close to a water body. As to what degree she can control Water Release remains unknown, but at the very least, Sakura should be able to use it to a decent degree.

Most importantly, Sakura has gained access to the power of Fire Release after the conclusion of the series. As to how Sakura learned this power, the answer likely lies in Sasuke. This should not come as a surprise to the fans. Sasuke is an avid user of the Fire Release and certainly a master of this skill. At some point, Sakura even went on missions with Sasuke, which means that these two likely spent quite a lot of time training together. Around this time, Sakura could have learned, or, at the very least, polished her skills in Fire Release, and gained great proficiency. With all these powers at her disposal, Sakura is now stronger than ever before, but, if fans thought that this was all she had to offer, then they couldn’t be more wrong.

It is also revealed that by the time of adulthood, Sakura has gained absolute mastery in concocting sleeping gasses and, at the same time, poisonous substances. She can coat weapons in terrifyingly powerful poison, or make sure that her enemies have a hard time maintaining their consciousness. All these skills were picked up by her from Tsunade and Shizune. In many ways, she’s a perfect blend of these powerful medics, and has taken the best of their cards and managed to surpass them all. Clearly, close-range combat against Sakura is an absolute nightmare for any Shinobi in Naruto, and those include the stronger Jonin as well.

In fact, Sakura has even increased her control over chakra greatly, which is evident from her performance in The Last: Naruto the Movie, where she saved Naruto’s life by pouring chakra directly into him and Kurama for about 2 days straight.

If all this wasn’t enough, then fans should also keep in mind that Sakura Haruno is essentially immune to Genjutsu by the time of the Boruto series, as even a technique as strong as one taking down a perfect Jinchuriki like Naruto Uzumaki does not affect her.

Is Sakura Underrated?

Sakura Haruno Is One Of Naruto’s Underrated Queens

It goes without saying that Sakura as a character is incredibly underrated. Of course, fan-driven hate towards her character has seen to it that she gets undermined at all stages of her life as a ninja, but more than that, it is also down to the author’s inability to display her powers properly and just mention them instead. Sakura had much more to offer in the story, and had Kishimoto provided the proper environment for her to grow in battle and improve her skill, just like Naruto and Sasuke, the opinion of her would have been much more positive right now. Still, fans can only hope that over the years, the opinion on Sakura eventually changes in one way or another.
