Pokemon GO Wild Area Global

Pokemon GO Wild Area Global

The Wild Area Global challenge has begun, and the main reason for completing these types of Pokemon GO Collection Challenges is to get the rewards for finishing them and the Collection Challenge medal for bragging rights. Sometimes, the rewards aren’t worth it, but this time, there are highly desirable encounters with some otherwise unobtainable Pokemon.

These are guaranteed encounters with Pop Star and Rock Star Pikachu, previously available as a binary choice for those who bought tickets for GO Fest 2021. Those who caught one were unable to get the other until now. So, if you want either of these elusive Pokemon variants, here are all the locations for the Pokemon GO Wild Area Collection Electric and Poison challenges and the complete list of rewards.

All Pokemon GO Wild Area Collection Challenge

Pokemon GO Wild Area Global Collection Challenges: Pop Star and Rock Star Pikachu are posing.

There are two main challenges during the Pokemon GO Wild Area Global event. Some involve collecting Electric types, while others involve you catching Poison types. All are available in the wild but at specific times.

You’ll encounter electric types during the hours of 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM on both Wild Area Global days.

Otherwise, you’ll find several Poison types at 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM. You can combine your hunts for these Pokemon with all the Pokemon GO Wild Area Global Field Research tasks you can find along your walk.

As for the two reward Pokemon, neither evolve into Raichu or Alolan Raichu, but they have access to exclusive move sets not normally available to other Pikachu. Pop Star Pikachu uses Charm or Thundershock for her fast moves and Draining Kiss, Thunder Punch, and Play Rough.

Rock Star Pikachu has the same fast moves but can learn Meteor Mash instead of Draining Kiss. Neither is all that viable in PvP, but they may excel in Little League Cups when they are available, and their type coverage is decent.
