As you progress in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll find that heroes and villains alike need your help. From organizing community events to learning more about themselves and what they have to offer, as the ruler of the valley, it’s up to you to lend a hand and keep the peace.

Belle deserves a perfect day in the Storybook Vale.
Hades is a hothead, no doubt, but even he could use assistance from time to time. Step up to show the Lord of the Underworld what it means to be part of the community, even if things get a bit heated. He could use a friend–or maybe just a new minion in his domain.
How To Break Marble In The Storybook Vale
After you unlock Hades, you can talk with him about restoring his domain. It won’t happen overnight, but taking the first steps is crucial to reaching Mount Olympus and thwarting Maleficent–or so Hades wants you to believe.
In reality, he’s tired of seeing ruined marble pillars in his front lawn. Unfortunately, your Royal Pickaxe isn’t strong enough to break them down. With a bit of help from Hades, however, you can!
You’ll need to bring him the following materials so he can craft a potion for your pickaxe:
- Three Crimson Eternal Poppies
- Fives Posidonia
- Ten Gravel
Once you’ve gathered everything from the Elysian Fields, you can give them to Hades. He’ll upgrade your Royal Pickaxe so you can break down the marble.
How To Craft Hades Statues
Hades requests you clean up his domain, including the pesky little demon Snippets floating around the fields. You’ll need to use your Royal Pickaxe to break down ten hunks of marble and your Royal Net to catch five demon Snippets.
You can craft and place traps in the biome to slow the Snippets!
After cleaning up, return to Hades. He requests that you build statues of him with the materials you collected–though you’ll need to do some more foraging and mining. You’ll have to gather four marble, four magma, and four gold nuggets to craft the statues.
With the materials in your inventory, head to your Crafting Station and put it all together. Then decorate the Elysian Fields with the four statues. When your work is done, return to Hades.
Where To Find Lightning Spice In The Storybook Vale
The next step is to see what people think about the statues. Hades asks you to disguise yourself in an outfit with the following pieces:
- Rustic Clothing
- Green Clothing
- Brown Clothing
In your stealthy outfit, head into the Library of Lore to see what people are saying about the statues. After eavesdropping, speak with the Lorekeeper about what you should do next.
She tells you about a lighting device in the east wing that can power Hades’ statues and take them to the next level. However, you’ll need to power it up with lighting spice. Put three into the machine, then talk to Hades in the east wing to tell him all about your plan.
Hades gets a bit too excited and the machine overloads. With it destroyed, Hades leaves you to clean up the mess–though you don’t have to. The quest concludes, and you can go on your merry way.
