However, you’re going to need specialized equipment and some patience to grow this crop properly. So, here is everything you need to know about planting and harvesting rice.

Farming Simulator 25: Best Crops To Make Money
Farming Simulator 25 has a large range of crops that you can have on your farm, and here are the ones that will make you the most money.
How to Plant and Grow Rice
The first thing you’ll want to do before attempting to grow rice is to ensure you have the right equipment to do so. You need everything you usually do – like a tractor and trailer – to plant and harvest crops, with the exception of the specialized Rice Harvester and Rice Planter. These can both be found under the Special Crops section under Vehicles in the shop. Then, of course, you need to buy Rice Saplings, or you can grow them yourself in a greenhouse.
Construct a Rice Field
Once you have your equipment, you’re going to need a large open space to plant your rice. Then you need to build a Rice Field, which you can find under Cultivation in the Construction menu. Once your field is built, you can move on to the next step.
Flood the Field
Next, go to the water pump that was placed with your Rice and Field and flood it. This is the most important part of the process, because if the field’s water level decreases, the saplings will wither and die out – making you lose all your progress. Thankfully, rice only takes four months to grow, so you only have to do this for a short while before the saplings have matured and are ready for harvesting.
Plant the Rice
Grab your planter and load the Rice Saplings along with the fertilizer, then plant them in the paddy until it’s full. Rice can be planted in April and May, but you can also switch seasons off in your game settings, so you can plant it anytime in the year if you’d like.
Manage the Water Levels
Rice grows in four stages, and each one needs a different level of water in order to grow correctly. Thankfully, the water pump will not allow a choice that’s inappropriate for the stage of the growth the rice is in. You just need to make sure every day that the field has the correct water levels.
How to Harvest Rice
Once the crop turns yellow it has matured and you can begin the harvesting process. Grab the special harvester, and just hop in, switch it on, and start harvesting the rice row by row. Once it’s done, make sure that your trailer is at the back of the harvester to catch it from the pipe.
Rice sells for about $3300, and you can find selling points that accept rice by going to the prices screen in the menu. When you’re there, scroll down until you find rice and click on it. This data will indicate which sale points accept rice, but also which ones will offer the best prices for it. Take your trailer full of rice to the selling point, and you will have successfully grown and sold your first batch in Farming Simulator 25.
