Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, better known as his online persona Dr Disrespect, has been active on YouTube since 2010. After Twitch permanently banned him in 2020, YouTube became the primary focus of his content creation efforts. Since returning to YouTube in early September 2024 after a ten-week hiatus, the 42-year-old has been streaming several times a week. The break itself was prompted by an admission that the 2020 Twitch ban was due to DrDisrespect sending inappropriate messages to a minor.

And although Dr Disrespect may seem like too big of a name to sign an exclusive deal with any single platform, his current situation makes such a scenario more likely than usual. Namely, Dr Disrespect is currently demonetized on YouTube, which removed his channel from its Partner Program after he admitted to the circumstances surrounding his 2020 Twitch ban.
Dr Disrespect’s first attempt to re-monetize his YouTube channel failed, with the Google-owned service rejecting his application in late October 2024. Back when the streamer confirmed this development, he teased that he had “something much, much bigger” in the works. This was around the time that Pavlovski started hinting at Dr Disrespect’s move to Rumble via Twitter.
Just before Dr Disrespect dropped the first big hint that he’s moving away from YouTube, Pavlovski tweeted “Make Gaming Great Again” on November 19.
