As the town’s only doctor, Valen is usually quite busy. She checks in on the other villagers or works on her research most days. If she’s not in her office, you can find her at the museum, the beach, or the Manor House.
Valen advocates for healthy living, and getting to know her better means giving her gifts that she’ll appreciate. While she’s a fan of salads, sushi, and beets, she’s also a wine connoisseur.

Valen’s Heart Events
As you get to know Valen better, you’ll unlock heart events with her that reveal more about her personality, ambitions, and commitment to the town. There’s more to her than meets the eye, and it’s worth spending time with her.
Every two hearts you earn will unlock a heart event, and you’ll receive notice of where to go to initiate it. Below are all of Valen’s available heart events and how to complete them!
As of now, there are only two available heart events!
Valen’s Two Heart Event
Upon reaching two hearts with Valen, you can initiate a new heart event. Head to the message board in town to pick up a notice about a free clinical check-up.
Make your way to her office, where you’ll see Valen working with Hayden, the rancher. He’s not the world’s best patient, so you’ll have to intervene. Here’s how to respond in the situation:

Regardless of your choices, you’ll help Valen out. However, when you ask about the basement, she’ll send you away. The best thing to do is give Valen space and not pry into her personal life until she’s ready to share it with you.
Valen’s Four Heart Event
After reaching four hearts with Valen, you’ll receive a letter in the mail about fetching her some ingredients for medicinal research. This begins the quest Batch 312, and you’ll need to bring Valen some peat.
When you do, the event will begin. Below are the dialogue choices available to you during the event:

During this event, try to be understanding with Valen. She needs help with her experiments, and unlike Juniper at the bathhouse, she won’t willingly test things out on you unless you volunteer.
Helping Valen out is one way to support the town and get closer to her, which can lead to a better relationship and eventually a romance, should you wish to pursue her further.
Valen’s Six Heart Event
Doctor Valen will reach out for your assistance again once you reach six hearts with her. You’ll receive a letter in the mail asking you to meet her at the bathhouse while she has a meeting with Juniper.
When you arrive, you’ll be providing support to help Valen convince Juniper to help with her research. Below are your dialogue choices for the event:
