ASRock has introduced almost 20 new power supply units (PSUs), most of which are compliant with Intel’s latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. Categorized under its Taichi, Phantom Gaming, Steel Legend, and Challenger series, there are PSUs ranging from 550W all the way up to 1650W. Like with other products ASRock offers under the same series, The Taichi and Phantom Gaming PSUs are the top-tier offerings, while the Steel Legend and Challenger series are for more mainstream users.

ASRock Taichi and Phantom Gaming PSUs
The Taichi brand includes two PSUs: TC-1650T (1650W) and the TC1300T (1300W). Both of them are 80+ Titanium and come with Cybenetics TITANIUM and LAMBDA A+ certifications. They are fully modular and feature a native 12V-2×6 connector as well. Of course, they support the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, making them future-proof. The temperatures are kept in check by the 135mm striped axial FDB fan, and both have a Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) of 10,000 hours. They also come with Auto iCool Intelligent fan control features to ensure optimal thermal performance. The PG-1300G and PG-1600G models come with Cybenetics PLATINUM and LAMBDA A certifications, while the rest carry Cybenetics GOLD and LAMBDA A certificates.
Besides those, all five of the PSU are essentially the same, offering a wide range of wattages for different types of builds.

ASRock Steel Legend and Challenger PSUs
The Steel Legend series has four SKUs ranging from 650W to 1000W. Two of these SKUs, namely the SL-850G and SL-1000G, have white versions as well, for a total of six ASRock Steel Legend PSUs. All of them are 80+ Gold rated but except for the entry-level 650W model, the rest feature full ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 support. The 650W model only gets ATX 3.1 compatibility. Interestingly, all except the top-tier 1000W model have Cybenetics PLATINUM and LAMBDA A+ certifications. The SL-1000G is LAMBDA A certified. The SL-850GW and SL-1000GW are the white variants and are accompanied by white cables to match.
The Challenger series is a budget-friendly and entry-level lineup with four SKUs, two of which have versions with both Bronze and Gold ratings. The CL-550B, as the name suggests, is a 550W 80+ Bronze rated PSU that supports the ATX 2.5 standard and is not compliant with the newer ATX 3 or 3.1. This is the case with all three Bronze rated PSU, the CL-550B, CL-650B, and the CL-750B.
But those looking for a budget-friendly, yet better rated PSU have the CL-650BG, the CL-750BG, and the CL-850BG to choose from. These are not only Gold rated, but also compliant with the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards (CL-650BG is only ATX 3.1 compliant). They also get the Auto iCool Intelligent fan control features that are present in the more premium offerings.
ASRock New PSUs: Price and Availability
As of now, there is no information about when these PSUs will be available for purchase, and ASRock has not shared pricing either. None of the major retailers have them listed yet. But, considering ASRock’s products, be it motherboards, GPUs, or monitors, they are often priced cheaper than the competition.
