You’ll need quite a few offerings if you want to get into the locked ruins on your farm.

Copper only lasts you so long though, and eventually, there won’t be any more upgrades. Whenever that time comes around, it’ll be time for you to set out and find your way to the mysterious Forest that lies beyond the bridge, and get a new, stronger metal: Iron Ore.

Once you get the Forest biome unlocked, you’ll want to head for the entrance to the main part of the Lost Forest Caves, located in the northwestern corner of the first area of the map.

There’s a
second area to the Lost Forest Caves with a different entrance near the lake to the east

You’ll find a camp with a campfire you can light back up, and several pre-placed crafter drawings you can finish off using materials from the Forest: a Sawmill, Ore Smelter, Kiln, and a Simple Workbench.

There are a few pieces of Iron Ore right outside the cave you can mine to get started, but all the rest is going to be found inside.

The Lost Forest Cave features Charcoal again and the occasional Copper Ore near the entrance, as well as Iron Ore, Silver Rubble, and three new gems: Pyrite, Bismuth, and Crocoite.

You can
safely run through Spiders while they’re staggered
as long as they have a red anger mark above their heads.

You’ll also have to deal with a new variant of the Spider enemy that is marked by a green glow, has more health, moves quicker, and can occasionally resist being staggered, but it deals the same one-hit KO damage as the other type.
