The Best Charged Aim Shot Characters In Genshin Impact

The Best Charged Aim Shot Characters In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact‘s combat follows a minimal set of rules. Instead of going all in on combos and different variations of attacks, the majority of the cast you play only have their Normal and Charged Attacks, as well as their Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. Even the most niche characters at most implement Plunge Attacks, like Xiao, or a hold mechanic to their skill, like Chasca.

Whether looking to make Nahida a DPS or Support, these are the best weapons you can equip her with.

However, Genshin’s bow characters are doted on by being given a type of attack not available to other weapon users, the Aimed Shot. While this isn’t a huge part of many character kits, there are those who have unique, specialized animations and effects for their Charged Aim Shots. From characters that only have them as a gimmick to those bound to them as a core gameplay mechanic, here’s every character with a special Aimed Shot in Genshin Impact, ranked!

8 Yoimiya

Yoimiya is a pyro DPS specializing in single target content due to her Pyro-infused Normal Attacks. However, another part of her kit that’s often overlooked is her Charge Level Two Fully Charged Aim-Shot. After charging for a bit longer than most other Aimed Shots in the game, Yoimiya can shoot out a Pyro arrow, followed by three smaller arrows that home in on enemies.

Unfortunately, there’s a reason not many people talk about this. The scalings on the Kindling Arrows are extremely weak, and the time required to charge them makes it even worse. The only good thing about Yoimiya’s Aimed Shots is that they can help with puzzles or locating chests.

7 Faruzan

Faruzan being the only support on this list makes it very difficult to rank her compared to the others. While her Charged Attack can certainly deal a decent amount of damage, its main use is for grouping and buffing allies.

The funeral director can be deadly with any of these weapons.

For Faruzan, her special Aimed Shot is locked behind her Elemental Skill. Once you’re cast it, your next Charged Attack automatically becomes enhanced. This attack distorts space around it to pull in enemies to wherever it hits, and also grants nearby allies with an Anemo DMG Bonus with her Ascension Passive.

6 Yelan

Every five seconds Yelan is out of combat, her next Aimed Shot turns into a Breakthrough Barb and charges up instantly, dealing AOE Hydro DMG equal to roughly 20 percent of her max HP at level nine.

Yelan’s Elemental Skill has a chance to reset the cooldown of Breakthrough Barb depending on how many enemies are hit. You can see if Breakthrough Barb can be triggered by checking if Yelan’s bracelet is glowing.

Unlike Yoimiya, this damage is significant to her kit, dealing about half the damage of her Elemental Skill. The skill is also AOE and can proc reactions, letting you comfortably hit big numbers. However, since you can usually only use this once per combat, we can’t put Yelan any further despite the decent damage.

5 Sethos

Sethos has one of Genshin Impact’s most interesting kits, having two ways for you to play him. You can either use his Elemental Burst to infuse his Normal Attacks with Electro, making him an Electro Yoimiya, or you can choose the other playstyle he has, one based on Charged Attacks.

Sethos’s Charged Attacks have a special charge that makes the attack pierce through all enemies and deal damage based on his Elemental Mastery. Despite its otherworldly raw damage, the attack does take a while to charge usually, but Sethos’s passive lets him charge it up instantly by spending Energy. This creates a very unique character where you have to decide which route to go, with both of them being good options!

4 Tighnari

Tighnari is a Dendro hypercarry that deals lots of damage utilizing the Spread reaction. This is because, in addition to the normal Elemental Scaling that the Spread reaction has, Tighnari’s base damage increases based on his EM due to this Ascension Passive.

Building the best artifact set can greatly improve your character in Genshin Impact, and here’s a look at the best sets and effects in the game.

Tighnari’s special Aimed Shot shoots out four Clusterbloom Arrows that deal a portion of his Charged Attack damage. The reason this increases his DPS more than you’d first thing is because Spread scales off of how many times you hit enemies, so triggering five instances of Spread from one Charged Attack makes him one of the best Dendro characters in the game. Additionally, after you use his Elemental Skill, you can instantly charge up your next three Aimed Shots!

3 Lyney

Lyney‘s one of the strongest characters on this list in terms of DPS alone. His passive grants him such an absurd DMG Bonus when hitting enemies afflicted with Pyro that he deals damage comparable to other characters’ Vaporizes.

Lyney is one of the more uncomfortable characters to play due to his limited team options. He’s got the damage, but without proper defensive utility, he can very easily die before hitting his first Aimed Shot.

Lyney’s level two Charged Shot shoots out a Prop arrow that grants him bonus Pyro DMG and summons an adorable Grin-Malkin Hat. This cat in a hat then stays on the field and taunts enemies, exploding after a certain duration or when Lyney uses his Elemental Skill, with the damage dealt by this explosion being considered Charged Attack damage.

2 Ganyu

Ganyu was the very first proper Aim Shot DPS that Genshin Impact players got to see. Despite being way past her prime, she still functions as one of the best characters in her niche and is an extremely solid carry even outside of it. Ganyu’s Aimed Shot, if charged up to level two, shoots a Frostlake Arrow that deals AOE Cryo damage.

The multipliers on this are immensely high, letting Ganyu deal unreal levels of damage even in her Freeze teams, without utilizing reactions. However, when it comes to DPS, Ganyu truly shines when Melting her Frostlake Arrows. Overall, Ganyu might not be the best DPS character in Genshin anymore, but she remains near the top in both damage and comfort!

1 Chasca

Chasca is Genshin Impact’s first Multi-Element DPS, using her Elemental Skill’s hold version to deal six instances of Charged Attack damage depending on the elements of your allies. This skill has extremely high multipliers, putting even Ganyu’s absurd motion values to shame.

However, since Chasca can’t reliably proc reactions like Vaporize or Melt to increase her damage, this ability to deal huge raw damage makes sense. Another thing that may make you prefer Ganyu or Lyney over Chasca is that she can’t make use of a lot of traditional Charged Attack characters such as Amos’ Bow or even three-star options like Slingshot.
