Stalker 2 Player Finds A Workaround For Inflated Repair Prices

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl‘s launch wasn’t as smooth as GSC Game World hoped. The PC version of the game is currently plagued with bugs and performance issues, but that hasn’t stopped long-time fans from enjoying it. The devs have committed to fixing the issues, but the community has already taken things into their own hands.

This isn’t your average open world game.

While performance issues and bugs have already resulted in a number of player-made mods, the community has been looking for ways to work around other issues. It seems someone has found a way to deal with Stalker 2’s broken economy system, and it’s far easier than installing a mod.

How To Get The Real Value Of Your Items In Stalker 2

Apart from performance issues and general jankiness, one of the features players complained most about is the economy system. It seems the game doesn’t reward you enough to get your weapons and armour repaired. Even selling items doesn’t get you a lot of credits, resulting in players having to throw away items instead of fixing them.

However, one player seems to have found a workaround, and it’s fairly simple. You may have noticed that anytime you try to sell an item, it goes for way below its value. Redditor IronChumbo has stumbled upon a way to make sure you get the fair price. They’ve even detailed it in a video on Reddit.

The method is pretty simple:

– Add the items you want to sell into the trader’s ‘Sell’ window, but do not click on ‘Confirm’ just yet.

– You’ll see the amount you’ll make at the bottom, which won’t be very much as of now.

– Then, right click on any of the items in the ‘Sell’ window and only hover over the ‘Remove’ prompt.

– You’ll notice that the value at the bottom goes up.

GSC Game World will be getting around to fixing this and the economy overall, but if you don’t want to wait till then, this method will get you the right price for selling your items. It’s still a bit unclear whether this is an exploit or a bug, but if you’re strapped for cash in the Zone, this method will help you out.
