Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is hosting a Fire Pokemon Mass Outbreak event for a limited time, allowing players to collect Fire-type cards like Arcanine EX, Charizard, and more via Wonder Picks. The fiery Pokemon TCG Pocket event lasts until Wednesday, November 27, so players will have just a few days to collect the cards they want.

The new event came after Pokemon TCG Pocket reached an impressive sales milestone. Since its October 30 launch, Pokemon TCG Pocket has amassed over $120 million in revenue, at a rate of over $6 million per day in player spending. Most of the $120 million total came from Japan, as players have spent over $50 million on microtransactions and the game’s $10 monthly pass. Within the first few days of release, Pokemon TCG Pocket was downloaded by 30 million players, making it one of the fastest-rising apps on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The Pokemon Company previously confirmed more content will be available by the end of 2024.

After the Lapras EX Duel event concluded, Pokemon TCG Pocket released another event for players to participate in. First reported by PokeBeach (and corroborated by VGC), Pokemon TCG Pocket is currently hosting a Fire Pokemon Mass Outbreak event until Wednesday, November 27 at 9:59 PM local time. While the event is active, players can use Wonder Picks to add Fire Pokemon cards to their collection. The free Bonus Picks that players can pull from will have cards like Charmander, Magmar, and Ninetales. Each time the Wonder Pick selections refresh, the Rare Pick section will be available for three Wonder Stamina. The elusive Arcanine EX card can be pulled from the Rare Picks, along with Charizard and Moltres. Arcanine EX has 150 HP and can use the powerful Inferno Onrush attack to deal 120 damage to its target at the cost of inflicting 20 HP in recoil damage to itself.


As players participate in the Fire Pokemon Mass Outbreak, they will also complete Missions that can grant Wonder Hourglasses, which in turn are used to recharge Wonder Stamina. Along with the Fire Pokemon card event, Pokemon TCG Pocket has reduced the price of Poke Gold, the game’s microtransaction currency, until December 1. Poke Gold can be used instead of Wonder Hourglasses to quickly refill Wonder Stamina, giving players another way to get the cards they desire.

With a Bulbasaur event coming down the pipeline, Pokemon TCG Pocket is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. It remains to be seen what the game’s 2025 plans will entail.
