Promising a brand-new adventure on an alien planet, replete with stunning scenery and terrifying beasties – at least from what we’ve seen so far – we’re already incredibly excited for Subnautica 2. Subnautica 2 Game Pass
Subnautica 2 is coming to Game Pass on day one when it launches into early access in 2025. Publisher Krafton confirmed this in a press release accompanying the game’s reveal teaser trailer.
Krafton says that bringing the game to multiple storefronts alongside Game Pass provides an “opportunity to be part of the development journey from the start.” It’s currently unconfirmed if Subnautica 2 will remain on Game Pass once it exits early access. The game will receive a price increase for its full launch, and it’s unclear if this monetization strategy will impact its future on the service.
Both the original Subnautica and Subnautica Below Zero have spent time on the Game Pass games list over the years. As such, it’s unsurprising that Subnautica 2 is also being made available to subscribers when early access starts. It’s for this reason that we expect Subnautica 2 to remain on Game Pass after its full launch.
